Is the beer to ease the distress of finding pineapple on your pizza?
I didn't know my eating habits were unusual. Let's see: I live in a seaport so I can get lots of fish either local or imported, there's also lots of agriculture nearby so I can get fresh fruits and vegetables, there are farmer's markets and roadside Mexican fruitstands, bodegas, carnicerías...plus I work from home so I can prepare and cook whatever I want to eat without worrying about whether it will fit into my lunch hour, and there's no one to tell me I can't have a beer or a glass of wine with it, either. I had calamari for lunch the other day and a homemade turkey cheeseburger with avocado and pickles the day before that. What do you guys usually eat?I got to know Dumarest... How is it that you eat so good? Sea Bass? I have things like that maybe once a month. You seem to have nice meals once or twice a week.
Though I did have a nice Angus steak last night medium well that was delicious.
My contract lets me lick the boxes our cleaning supplies are delivered in for nutrition. What do you guys usually eat?
My wife cooks two or three times a week and on days that she doesn’t cook we either eat leftovers or go to a restaurant (at least we did before Corona). We have baked Salmon probably once a week for supper and smoked salmon two or three times a week for lunch. We usually have steak once a week or so and the rest of the days will be something like Chicken Picatta or something simple like Spaghetti. We also eat Greek, Mexican and Russian food once or twice a month.I didn't know my eating habits were unusual. I'm in central Texas. Fish is kinda expensive, except stuff like tilapia. Chicken, pork, and beef are a lot more common.I didn't know my eating habits were unusual. Yeah I have had Sea Bass maybe three times in my life. Same goes for Swordfish. Fresh seafood is trucked into Dallas every morning from Galveston but its pricey and the selection is limited to whats common in the Gulf. We make an exception for Salmon though. Not cheap but we love it!I'm in central Texas. Fish is kinda expensive, except stuff like tilapia. Chicken, pork, and beef are a lot more common.
I splurge on some decent salmon now and again. Things like sea bass, good tuna, and swordfish are usually $20-30 a pound.
Sometimes salmon (and trout, I forgot to mention trout) is cheap. Depends on the week. H-E-B sometimes puts it on sale for $6-10 a pound. That's usually when I jump on it.Yeah I have had Sea Bass maybe three times in my life. Same goes for Swordfish. My Father and I made some bread for my birthday on Friday. Because the loafs were smaller than bread I normally use, I made 2 smaller sandwiches instead of 1 normal sized sandwich.
First I cooked a half a slice of bacon and a handful of small die onions.
After the Bacon and onions were done I mayonnaised up 4 slices of my homemade bread and sprinkled Paprika and Black Pepper on them, along with a bit of honey mustard on the top slices.
Then I added a slice of mild cheddar cheese to each sandwich, followed by a couple pieces of romaine lettuce and a slice of tomato.
On top of the tomato I put some chopped up Dilly Beans I got for my birthday.
Finally to top it all off I added the bacon and onions.
If you replace the Mexican food stalls with various Asian foodstalls, then it sounds pretty much like where I live in BrisbaneI didn't know my eating habits were unusual. This is one of the most-used items in my kitchen. Sandwiches, burger patties, rissoles, skewers, sliced potatoes. It's pretty versatile.Years ago, my mother in law gave us a small George Foreman grill.
Extra mayo I hope! Looks delicious!
Is this mayonnaise thing a running gag?Extra mayo I hope! Looks delicious!
