I think I've stated before my love of Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol. To a lesser degree I also like Gerald Way's current run on the series. That said, there's a part of me that wishes the DP's original deaths back in Doom Patrol #121 had been allows to stick. There's just something so powerful about the ending, our heroes knowingly dying for a handful of people they've never met, especially in contrast to what DC was generally publishing in their superhero comics in the late 60's.

Nice try, but a little too far-fetched. Next you'll say Bucky Barnes, Jason Todd, and Gwen Stacy were revived. Sorry, I don't buy it. No comic book company could be that creatively bankrupt. Plus your timing is off: April 1st doesn't come along for seven more months.I think I've stated before my love of Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol. Every day is April 1st for a comic book fan.Nice try, but a little too far-fetched. Next you'll say Bucky Barnes, Jason Todd, and Gwen Stacy were revived. Sorry, I don't buy it. I think part of it is that he doesn't really have any history in the movies. You should know, going into Thor Ragnarok, that he's a decent match for Thor physically and, I don't know, not a coward. Whatever else there is Skurge was never a coward. They started good... getting his measure. But they didn't really follow through.
It’s not a Cyber Cocaine Bear, and is thus not immune to argument.View attachment 24035
Doctor Doom riding Cocaine Bear.
Your argument, should you have one, is invalid.
I like the idea of Superman alive so long that he goes insane and starts doing a bunch of weird stuff like splitting the earth in two. What next? Arranging the asteroid belt to make his S symbol? This was a Superman you didn't want to mess with. I remember reading this as a kid. Need to look it up again. It really stuck with me.

Heavy.Long story short, he split the Earth so that he could re-heat the core with his heat-vision. He then welded it back together. He brought atmosphere and plant and animal life from other planets around the galaxy.

Art is by a young George Perez, inked by Klaus Janson.Great art, who is the artist? May have to see if these ever got reissued in a TBP (unlikely).
Man, I need to read Junji Ito's work. I enjoyed World of Horror and I hear that it's based off of his stuff.
What was the one about the zombie fish called? That was awesome.
Gyo. Haven't read that one yet but it's on my list.
Looks like a new, to English readers at least, Ito has been released, a sf cosmic horror comic Remina.
