It was directed by John Boorman, also noteworthy for doing Deliverance, Excalibur and quite a few others you've probably heard of.Judging by the video Voros posted this movie is a little bit too low-budget retro trippy for me, but that floating stone head god is genius.
And one of them is so awesome it takes up two slots in the Top 5!Zardoz is one of my the top 5 films alongside Brazil, Blade Runner, and Conan the Barbarian.
Yeah.. if were going for pictures, I think I'd rather see a Star Crash thread.

I keep one slot open because that constantly changes depending on mood. Maybe it's The Thing or Big Trouble in Little China or Escape from New York or Twin Peaks FWWM or Dune or a million others I can't think of right now.And one of them is so awesome it takes up two slots in the Top 5!
Off to see the great Zardoz in the sky....In related news, it seems that Sean Connery has just died. Rest In Peace.

Dude I love that part too, there's something about it that is so poignant. The sequence at the very end (time sequence with Beethoven) broke me.
What a dark way to end a film! Memorable as hell...
GNU Sean Connery. When talk of Zardoz dies so does Connery.
Like, the only reason for me to actually get Disney+.Zardoz is on Disney+ y'all.
Trippy 70s flick with amazing costumes, you say?
Sounds like a perfect date night movie!
(I really should watch it at some point...)
Thanks, but I got this one on BR for Christmas.Zardoz is on Disney+ y'all.
Speaking from experience, it's not an ideal date movie, but it's a better choice than Antichrist or Requiem for a Dream. Those are some solid date killers. You know, in a way Zardoz is actually perfect anti-date movie.
