Moving a house, San Francisco 1908

View attachment 35296
Back in the early 2000s a friend of mine bought a 100-year old house and had it moved north to sit on the farm he'd also bought. Before that, he had a house-breaking party. He invited a bunch of us around, gave us crowbars and told us to go hog-wild on the deck and jacuzzi. Once those were gone, he had the building chainsawed in half and loaded up on two big trucks. I didn't get to see that part.

It was fun, but also a lesson about working with children. One of his kids thought it would be hilarious to smack me in the face with a section of plastic drainpipe, knocking my glasses off and chipping them on the concrete ten feet below. I ask questions before working with kids now.

Did you return the favour and see if he still found it hilarious?

Wow. Poor ladies if that was the best they could do.

Bloor: About that street name…
City council: Yeah, well, we decided to keep honouring Governor Syden—
Bloor: ಠ⌢ಠ
City council: —ham by putting up a plaque somewhere on the newly renamed Bloor Street.

Mustache wax comes to mind. Disturbing images R-US. lol.
