Best Selling RPGs - Available Now @ DriveThruRPG.com
I don't know if there any fans of either Mythras or superhero games on this forum, but this is now available here. I'll be looking over the PDF this evening once all the Easter celebration is over.

Yeah, I just ordered the print + pdf of Mythras: Destined from TDM about half an hour ago, so I'll definately be joining you perusing this title in the week ahead

Got sidetracked, but I'm back.

This one is mostly going to just be pics, not a whole lot of commentary.

Citybooks

I had no idea this series went on this long. Flipping through them, I'd say Citybook 1 was the most interesting skim. Just in terms of presentation, I can say that Citybook 3 comes across as an oddball.

Looking through Citybook 1, there's this one Wax/Candle shop that seems like something straight out of an anime.

I have no clue where this came from. I was just looking through my stuff and I found this with my MS&PE books.

Regardless, new solo which I didn't even know I had.

You didn't think I was done, didja?
Well, I just begun having my fun.

MONSTERS! MONSTERS!

But to be honest, there isn't really much here that isn't already in the Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls rulebook in terms of rules for playing monsters. The way the Kindred special combat abilities work is explained, but honestly I don't like the way some are implemented.

Oh, and there's the Worlds Toughest Dungeon Solo module. I've decided I like solos. How much do I like solos?

These join the others that I shared earlier in the topic. Do you think I have enough?

I still want to get Misty Wood and Dark Temple.

I didn't plan this out well. I'm at the image limit, so gotta do one more post.
Wow, what a monty haul!

I think I may want those City Books, I have seen their content and think they are worth their weight in gold.
I really love the classic sword & sorcery vibe going on here with all this cover art; I never got around to checking out Tunnels & Trolls and seeing all these titles is really making me consider checking them out.

Enjoy your Flying Buffalo loot! :shade:

Next, something I just got from the local game store. A guy had sold a bunch of his stuff to the store and I'd note these and some other items i'll share in another post. I'd been a fan of these and had owned them all back in the 80s, back before we had the internet books/tools like this were wonderful to show to players when they just weren't getting something. These were in good shape so I couldn't resist.

I haven't seen those books in a decade or more. Holy wow!

I just had those out the other week while working on Cold Iron Samurai Adventures... Cool books though I haven't really made much use of them for a game. My research for Cold Iron with them was more just to get an idea of some of the range of "cool Japanese weapons." I've never been able to make much sense of the stats listed for each weapon in terms of a game.

Picked up the new RuneQuest Glorantha box set. It's jam-packed with content, and even comes with dice! There's no air left in the box at all. It's all you need to start with RQG and play for quite some time. It doesn't contain character generation rules, but has a whack of full-colour printed pregens. The artwork is bonkers good, in the same style as the slipcase books. It comes with some nicely printed maps too. This is handy because the maps in the core book are a bit small. I'm not sure how Chaosium could have packed more content into this thing, seriously. Even the box is sturdy, unlike the old D&D boxes: it's more like someone made a box out of hardcover book material.

Here’s the link to the PDF for those who be interested.

Thanks for the link, but $21 for a PDF is a bridge too far for me. I'd rather invest real money like that ($20+) into an actual printed book. I've ran a couple Superworld campaigns in years past, so I'll be curious to see how the full game (I did grab the PDF preview) of this plays.

ORtrail ORtrail Is this one of those newfangled games where you have to actually pay for the playtest document?

...I think I've crossed quite a few bridges you'd have been unwilling to:shade:!

...and in an update to this, I just ordered a copy of the Tunnels & Trolls Deluxe book :shade:

Today I dropped the rest of my store credit from my Magic collection and picked up a heap of new Tyranid stuff that just released.

I wanted to get that Tyranid stuff. I've been waiting for it to drop. But I still haven't even put together my T'au Combat Patrol, so getting the Tyranids would be premature. Plus, the Codex sold out from the store I was going to buy it from.

But when the Genestealer Cult Combat Patrol drops, I probably won't be able to resist impulse buying it.

I haven’t even started working on them yet, but I have them for when I do.

I wish I had the money. I sincerely hope you have years of enjoyment with them!
It was actually cheaper for me buy the T&T Deluxe book at Amazon, rather than getting it thru Flying Buffalo.
Amazon's price is not cheap, but the international postage directly from the Flying Buffalo homepage is far too expensive for my budget.
The sad thing is that Flying Buffalo has a great catalogue range that I will likely never have the chance to get because of the very expensive international shipping options

Took me a little too long to put two and two together, but Overlords of Dimension-25 is a retroclone of Buck Rogers XXVc.

I've also been looking at a couple of d20/OSR based hacks for Phantasy Star. Next month... I'll be looking at the FASERIP iterations.

The new HeroQuest arrived!

I’m quite impressed, actually. While the minis aren’t quite CMON quality, they’re very decent to me.

in fact, I find the game of better quality in person than in review images and videos.

Can’t wait to play this with the family.

If I ever vacation down your way we can work out a deal and I can bring an extra suitcase with me. Wife's going to add that to the "Youre crazy" bucket but whatever.

Picked up a box set of Dr. Who: AITAS (tenth Doctor) at HPB. They were asking 50, haggled them down to 30. Box is beat up, but the contents are complete, pristine and unpunched. Snagged a $7 copy of InSpectres at the same time. Not really a Whovian, but at that price, why not peep it?

I bought some oversized dice from Steve Jackson Games. Two 6-siders with Liz Danforth art engraved in them.

I just found out that three sets of DCC dice from a Kickstarter were delivered to some local pick-up point two months ago without me getting any notice about it from GlobalPost/USPS or the postal service. All I have is a GlobalPost/USPS order number given to me by the publisher, not even the location of the pick-up point.
Now to find out where they are and how to get them... I filed a complaint to the postal service through the Consumers Association. Hopefully that will suffice.

I also inquired with GlobalPost if they can provide me with the exact location of the pick-up point.

This was the Kickstarter. The whole debacle is no fault of Impact! MIniatures, of course!

Impact! is offering a resend but I'd like to wait a bit longer to see if GlobalPost or the Dutch postal service can maybe help solve the issue.

Follow-up: The Dutch postal service looked into it and have apparently never received the package so the sender has to take it up with GlobalPost. Speaking from experience, Impact! says it's probably lost so we're going ahead with a resend and making sure I meticulously check the tracking number frequently.

Well, this.
I'll say whether the game ends up being to your liking or not, that the organization and readability of the book is through the roof. Probably the best written "toolkit" system I've ever read as far as teaching you how to put together your game and how the different parts work together. Cam Banks and team did a great job with it.

(I also like the system myself).

My copy of the Konosuba RPG arrived today with the first volume of the light novels. I have seen the anime but the novels are much better (and they dial back the gratuitous fan service).

The RPG is a charming simple yet solid fantasy RPG. I really liked how it recognises that the humour should come from usual RPG shenanigans rather than mechanics.

Impact! sent me a tracking number for GlobalPost but when I click the link their site gives me some kind of error message.

Anybody got any useful commentary?

EDIT: Follow-up: The link appears to be working properly now. Here's hoping the package will reach me this time.

Got a set of Holmagr Retro Rejects dice. Not 100% reproductions, but a nice old school look. They are very lightweight. The numbers are very deep, making them quite easy to read even without inking. Inexpensive. There are more expensive versions with "authentic colors", if you want to spend $30 on a set (I don't).

I also picked up a set of "Spooky Dice", basically "Ghost Dice" for Spooktacular. I had put off buying these when they were on IPR, because the dice were $5 and the shipping was $15. But now that they're on Etsy, it's closer to $5 and $5. So, I picked 'em up. I gotta say, these are really gorgeous dice. Absolutely beautiful color. The pic doesn't do them justice.
