Wow, that's horrible.

So, something I do outside of gaming is fortune telling - playing card divination, palm reading, and numerology. Me, and others who do similar things, are generally called "psychic entertainers." And here's the thing - most of the people, like 99%, just do it to spend a few fun minutes with people. In fact, the majority of a "psychic" reading is personality analysis and giving some encouragement for the future. The same skills and techniques, however, can be used to fake knowledge of the dead or to pretend to communicate with the dead. Only the true narcissistic assholes do this, though, because it is seriously messing with people's emotions and memories solely for the ego trip of feeling powerful. While, yes, some clients may feel some relief, overall this practice seriously messes with the grieving process.

So, screw you, Amazon.

I looked it up and a couple things stuck out. It's described as being "purportedly haunted" and one of the images of it shows a bunch of plates with the faces of former presidents painted like clowns.
All I have to say is that the only thing haunting that place is the ever present stench of tackiness.
Also it's right next to a cemetery.

I just watched Nightmare Alley the other night. That deals with everything you are talking about here.

That's some serious hate-on...

My first thought is "What did she do to that elephant?"
Admittedly, mine as well, but I wasn't planning to post it because well, if it's something painting the woman in poor light, she's dead already. And you know the rule, if you don't have anything good to say for the deceased, it's best not to say anything.
OTOH, the elephant didn't exactly say anything in the second attack, AFAICT:shade:.

"He reassured me that the federal reserve isn't being run by aliens and that the coin isn't all that rare. He identified it as a hobo nickel, worth around $10-$20 to collectors,"Jordan explained.

"Although I was rather disappointed that I hadn't stumbled across proof of a government conspiracy or something valuable, the truth is still out there," Jordan said. "And I'll continue to search coin rolls to find it."

Delta Green Handler to the cell: "Job well done, boys and girls!"

Canadian radio station looses all their SAN at once:

Well it is one of their softer songs...

In 2009, electronica/experimental acts Broadcast and The Focus Group collaborated on an album, "Investigate the Witch Cults of the Radio Age". The music is a mixture of retro psychedelia and sound collage, reminiscent of a sort of hippie ritual. Aside from that, Warp Records made a couple of videos, and, man, I just get some drug-induced cosmic horror vibes from this...

Maybe as someone from Sydney I have an overly fatalistic view of sharks, but is it really going to help much if you see the shark coming?
Just a few days ago in Florida (not sure which beach) a twenty something year old woman was attacked by a shark and it ripped most of the ligament and muscle from her left leg. Miraculously she staid conscious and kept repeatedly punching the shark in the eye till it let go. On the beach paramedics managed to stabilize her and she’s going to live though it’s not clear yet if they can save the leg. Apparently this kind of attack is pretty rare in Florida but it will make you nervous

Somebody bombed the Georgia Guidestones early this morning, reducing one of the four standing stones to rubble. The other three were pulled down this afternoon for safety reasons.

You could hardly ask for a more perfect Modern Occult Macguffin.

Interesting, apparently it was supposed to be a guide for future people in the event of an apocalypse. It was sponsered by "A small group of Americans who seek the Age of Reason". Kinda feels like a prelude to an apocalypse, a guardian stone being destroyed to herald a dark age.
