From left to right we have Endless, Tristram, Black Leaf, Baulderstone, and Bunch.

yay! I'm the cool one!
I guess I'm the fifth one that Fenris-77 Fenris-77 failed to mention:thumbsup:?

Also, guys, seriously, the Witcher is based on the same system used in other R.Talsorian games, though adapted. Your lot are probably familiar with them already:grin:.
As for Castle Falkenstein, some of you are going to love it, some are going to hate it, and some are going to consider it borderline unplayable, but full of cool ideas. It's not like reviews of the game are hard to find, given when it was published, so just read one and you'd know whether to risk a buck!

Cooler than a corgi? I think not. I think NOT!

If you’re familiar with the various denizens of the Pub, I’d say the reactions to CF are somewhat predictable. For $1 you can find out whom you line up with, if you don’t know already.
I didn't know I was a predictable denizen at this point LOL

Itch.io has 5 RPGs bundled for 10 bucks on their home page.

Azag, 2400, Brave Zenith, .dungeon, Liminal Horror
Ok can anyone sell me on these games? Just a cursory glance makes Azag and 2400 somewhat interesting to me. Anyone love these games and want to tell me why I'm a fool for not buying them?

I can’t but the 2400 page over there links to some free samples. Based on what I saw, 2400 is a collection of tasty appetizers, not the main course of the bundle. (YMMV.) Azag probably is a little meatier, but I can’t get much info on it.

Tagging Bunch Bunch also for original post

2400 is the main game. The others are hacks.

You can see the SRD at https://24xx-srd.carrd.co/

It's player facing - the only time rolls come in is to avoid risks.

You roll 1 die (starts at d6 other than your specialty) + skill. Advantages give an additional die to roll take best. hindrances decrease die step of primary die.

1-2 disaster, 3-4 partial success with cost 5+ success

Gear can break to turn a hit into a brief hindrance, otherwise you're Harmed. If you're hit again, you're dead.

Thanks! That SRD link is very helpful. Not my usual type of system but interesting.

The upside is that it's very easy to hack. The downside is that lacks a lot of processes. But there's a market for that sort of thing - Into the Odd and Troika seem to be the same.

For those of us who aren't, any primers or overviews you can share?
Lifepath for character generation (though you can just pick), IIRC stat+skill+1d10 beat TN. TN in combat (and other opposed rolls) is 1d10 plus skill+stat vs 1d10 plus skill+stat (opponent). Each archetype has a unique skill only they have (but its not a class system)

It's not exactly my usual game but it's intriguing enough to blow $6 on DTRPG. I may grow to love it, at least for online play.

I don’t understand. Is the “main” 2400 game in the bundle, or do you use the SRD along with all those small scenario books?

2400 is a very simple game - a page or so? So each one of those includes modifications to the rules for the setting and the rules, though the Emergency Rules includes more verbose versions of the rules.

Humble Bundle's really been pulling out the stops with the RPG bundles lately - this one is for Free League titles Forbidden Lands & Vaesen.

I understand why they use the labels they do, but I find it odd that table-top RPG collections on Humble Bundle are called 'book bundles' rather than 'game bundles.'

Better

Better that way for the consumer in terms of search engines, cookies, targeted ads etc.--they think they smell a video game player or a gambler or anyone who will download an app with DLC...

They're trying to entice you to go higher. I saw the same on the Wrath & Glory bundle.

Still, another stupidly good deal. I've got all the Forbidden Lands stuff except for 2 titles, and don't have the Vaesen stuff, and even then, its easily worth $18 for all the stuff I'm getting.

No doubt. But on a lot of those deals, they used to give you the base game for $1 - an even better deal. Now they don't.

This is true. Not sure when it changed, but not a great plan. Especially on this deal where I think the 3 item option was just the 3 card sets? Lol

I guess it's better for them- $1 doesn't do much for them in any case.
