Discounts and deals on RPGs

Best Selling RPGs - Available Now @ DriveThruRPG.com
Possibly they are flow charts for specific applications of the system.

Not quite as 'fire sale' prices as they were last year. I guess inflation accounts for that but for all you lovers of 2D20 out there they may be some bargains. Yes, right now I can imagine all of you 2D20 fans on this site are rushing to the store, ready to splash the cash. Lots of fans. Hordes. Crowds even.

All two of you. :crossed:

Opposite of a deal/discount, but didn't think it was worth it's own thread

Thanks for the link Tulpa Girl Tulpa Girl

Whilst this ^^^ is most definitely not on sale...

£32.45, same price as the hardback for a 160 Page PDF?

Mind you on a certain purple site I'd get banned for even suggesting the price is on the you're taking the piss side of expensive.

From the comments, and the prices for the other PDFs, it seems like it's a mistake. The publisher obviously doesn't look at their DTRPG emails much...

The Talisman Adventures RPG is currently free, but I don't know for how long.

It's apparently through the beginning end of February to celebrate the release of their cities supplement.

I grabbed it because free is free  but is the Talisman board game still popular?

I was surprised to see a 2021 RPG was really based on a boardgame popular in the mid 90s.

My kids like it but they're actually playing the 90s version. I see new editions and expansions at the local gaming store. I don't really see why it couldn't still succeed as a lite rpg like race game

Ok, so it is still an active game. I had no idea, I'm so far out of the board game scene.

This just seems more like the kind of thing you would have seen in the early d20 days. I googled and it appears Pegasus is also the current producer of the board game. That makes the RPG make more sense, they are just adding an RPG to an existing (and apparently still popular) boardgame license.

If nothing else, it uses a 3d6 system so it is not just one more D&D clone.

Multi-genre maps? I have theatrix, but haven't really given it a good look so not sure what those are.
I think the game shipped with a seet of cardstock flowcharts for action resolution and combat, as well as three maps: one sci-fi, one western and one Main Street, USA.

I think I remember that now that you say it- but over time, mine must have been lost.

This is, perhaps, a tad off topic... But if you've ever hunted for casino-style precision d6 in RPG-compatible sizes, they are now available.

Amazon product

I ordered a set and will report back.

Odd, that's the second post where someone linked something from Amazon, and I see nothing to click on. Nor do I see what the article is. chuckdee chuckdee had two Amazon links that I saw nothing. Frustrating.

The link shows for me. If a raw search will help, try "yuanhe 16mm aaa casino dice".

I crowd funded these a few years ago, it is essientially D&D 5E with even better artwork production and some different character paths, plus lots of rich setting lore

The artwork is absolutely superb

Well worth having!

It could be your adblocker being overly aggressive. I've seen that happen, especially when forums expand the links.

Cypher System Core Rulebook has been half price from Monte Cook Games for the past few weeks

Yeah, I think in preparation for their new Kickstarter. And typing that now, it seems like someone already posted that before...

...in fact, looking back, you originally posted it!

Surprised no PoD option on DriveThruRpg.

I only have the encyclopedia.

Posting to confirm the 16mm casino dice are pretty nice and as advertised, btw. The smaller size makes them blend in appropriately with the rest of my collection.

They give the impression of casino dice while they "feel" like gaming dice.

The $5 level is almost a no brainer.

$5 = $119.93 Value
$15 = 271.83 Value
$25 = $457.74 Value
The problem is the whole SRD is free. So it is a great value if you want a book. If you just want key hits the SRD is free. However all the pawns etc are valuable if you plan to use those on a VTT or print them out. For me it's a no brainer for $5. The stuff above that I'm less sure how much I'd use.

Hmmmm, kinda tempted by the Jackals adventures, if only to pick them apart for the Mythras Thennla game I plan to run this year.
