Both 80s White Dwarf and 90s Dragon had good and honest reviews, even of their own games. I remember Allen Varney's reviews in Dragon. Dragon often had thematic reviews - "horror games" or "sf games", not just new games. So say, Alternity Dark*Matter would be contrasted vs. Call of Cthulhu or...

And if you want to use some funds for slickness it's even against the spirit (and rules) of this Kickstarter: So some current OSR zines would not even qualify: Wormskin (color interior, perfect binding) Nod (wrong format, color cover, perfect binding) Even older (sadly defunct) OSR zines...
