I would say not. The drawstrings on mine have held up fine, and they take a beating. I guess the buckle is probably a little easier to deal with than tying and untying the strings... but not 20 quid easier IMO.
I got one "for free" as part of my Dracula Dossier pledge on KS. I didn't expect to use it much, but it and my Noteboard (https://thenoteboard.com/index.html) have become my two indispensable pieces of gaming kit. I never go to a gaming session without these two, as either a player or GM, and...
It does make me worry a bit that we'll end up with a bunch of characters that all share the same "unique" background which has the most powerful 3-4 features... I'll reserve judgement until I see the final version though.
A bit more info here: https://www.inverse.com/gaming/tashas-cauldron-of-everything-release-date-subclasses-lineage-rules
Probably the main news is that it'll include Psionics (the first official appearance as a PC option in 5e), and the lineage rules sound pretty cool (replacing race plus...
I can confirm they all made it in... well, unless some or all were replaced at the last minute by someone else's maps I guess... certainly the book features a location with a map for each god, and the maps look to be in your style. Nice work as always (though I do admit to missing colour maps in...
it's called Hellenistika apparently, and it seems it will be based on 5e. I am 99% confident that, once released, it will quickly become my favourite:

As of right now Odyssey of the Dragonlords...
That hasn't really been my experience. For something that your character is even moderately accomplished with (4+ dice), you're more likely to succeed than fail - much more likely if you push. Certainly for us starting characters felt no more "wiffy" than starting characters in D&D - I suppose...
I played in the UKGE session tonight. It was a play through of the QS adventure, using the QS pre-gens, run by one of the developers (Alex... someone?)
First up, it was a really fun session, and "felt" a lot like I'd expect a Hellboy game to feel in play (though bear in mind I'm not overly...
I am in two minds... both happy I'll be getting it for free, and a little miffed that I now have to wait until after the campaign to pick it up and start reading... :)
I guess I'll have to go back and re-read the one I got for free with the boardgame KS...
Yeah, personally I'd love to see something more akin to WotCs mix of dice in their dice sets - 2 x d20s, d% + extra d10, 4 x d6, and one of each other die. It's not perfect, but it'd be a better starting point. Then one of the d20s and the extra d10 could be coloured differently from the rest of...
Cool, thanks. I think I did actually read Seed (or parts of it), but didn't really enjoy it super much, which is why I kind of gave up on the comics.
I'll check out the two you suggested as a better starting place then.
