Tell us about something good that you got recently

I've had the PDF of Cyberspace for quite a while and I very much appreciate it's MERP-like rules. I've been looking for a decent quality physical copy of the first edition (with the Rick Veitch illustration on the cover) for ages now. I'm really pleased to have found one at last! As for the...

Tell us about something good that you got recently

It was my birthday this week so I've been spending a bit... Today I received a bunch of trade paperback collections (Usagi Yojimbo Saga vol. 4, Robotech The Sentinels archives vols. 1 & 2, and The Terminator: Sector War), some Star Wars novels (the original Thrawn Trilogy), and a good condition...

    Doctor Who RPG 2E Announced

No, 2nd edition got announced earlier than the 5e version. The PDF of 2e has been out for about a year or so, I think, and it's been a long wait for physical copies to ship. I'm not sure how close we are to seeing the 5e version, in PDF or hard copy, yet.

    Doctor Who RPG 2E Announced

I'm not sure when the 5e version will be out but, even though I won't be buying it, I'll probably give it a look. Just to see what they tried to do with it.

    Doctor Who RPG 2E Announced

@Gabriel I just got an email saying that EU orders should ship starting the 27th (or the 4th for UK people like me).

    Doctor Who RPG 2E Announced

I was thinking the exact same thing last night. I checked to see if I'd missed an email but I hadn't. There's an article on their website, about last weekend's UK Games Expo, that says they had an "early copy" of both versions of the new rulebook for people to look at. I would hope that means...

    Age of Sigmar & 40k

So how similar are the systems in Wrath & Glory and Soulbound? I know there are differences but they're also both based on d6 dice pools. Would they be easy to convert between?

My softback copy of Supers! Red was looking a bit beat up so I decided, before DTRPG put their prices up, to grab a deluxe colour hardcover copy of it. While I was there... I also ordered the Combat Companion and Return to the Pit for Advanced Fighting Fantasy 2e. I think I now own all the AFF...

Looking for a System: "Space D&D"

There's a few options I'd look to in my collection if I was trying to fulfill your criteria: Cepheus Deluxe - Slightly lighter, in general, than Mongoose Traveller 1e and Cepheus Engine (upon which this is based) but it has good character options and fairly light spacecraft rules. If I remember...

Well, for reasons I can't fully explain, I've been interested in Fuzion and Action! System again lately. Probably because I've been looking at my copies of the Bubblegum Crisis books. Anyway, I decided to buy physical copies of the generic core books for both those systems. Both are much better...

You duck into a seedy alley

I throw my head back and laugh loudly... while quickly whipping out my copy of Vagabonds of Dyfed. I then proceed to beat him thoroughly around the face with it. Ah, another day, another victory.

After feeling disappointed by the recent GI Joe RPG I was thinking about what would make a good system for it (lots of things would of course) but then remembered I saw a forum post somewhere for Search & Destroy. It's an "action" supplement for Supers! Red. So I took a look at it on DTRPG...

The Moment(s) You Were Hooked to RPGs

Yeah, that bloody cartoon really ruined things didn't it?! Towards the mid-90s I think my friends were getting interested in revisiting it but then there was a wave of publicity in the UK about the more... Er... Seedy and fetishistic elements of the Furry community. That absolutely killed off...

The Moment(s) You Were Hooked to RPGs

Like many UK gamers, Fighting Fantasy books were my gateway into RPGs. I still remember that sunny afternoon when, after school, my Mum and sister came home from the local bookshop and my sister had Warlock of Firetop Mountain in her hand. I'm not sure what year this was but that copy had no FF...

I picked up a copy of Chronica Feudalis. It was only £10 and it's a pretty nice, light little system.
