Fair enough. It's not like we were going for a 3rd Person Roleplayers Rescue (:devil:), just an experiment - so any result is a success here:thumbsup:!
Yeah, absolutely. Nobody was bothered by the experiment, and it didn't totally derail the session with discussion, so nothing was lost. The players were just curious why something felt a bit different. Who knows, it might get discussed again at some point. It's not like I demanded they come to the next session in authentic costume, and speak only in character, or that they must only play D&D 5e from now on. :hehe:

I only require my players to show up in character when they question my encumbrance rulings, OK just next time show up with all that stuff on your person, you can even borrow my largest backpack :smile:

I personally am always dressed in costume...my true self would be in medieval garb with sword and boots. This costume is just so can keep my day job.
