I've probably never told my Star Wars war story here yet.
My downstairs neighbor, now R.I.P., decided to run SW with that godawful system based on D&D 3.5. And I, being the petty monkey that I am, decided to show him a lesson.
I proceeded to build a stun-monkey pacifist character. I can't...
I'm not familiar with FF luck mechanic, but it is true that Doom boils down to 'the more you reroll, the less lucky you get'.
So no rerolling if you wanna score..
@burbles Good points. I'm not sure at the moment. I'd probably have to run a few sessions to make more sense of it. Then there's the part where doom rolls might be used if something is available in the shops or not. That's hardly a critical moment in a session to me. Unless it's weed. Then it's...
Doom Points can be spent to reroll dice and get another chance to succeed at an action should you have failed. But in certain cases a roll against a single PCs Doom, or all the PCs Doom is called for. It is called a doom roll. These are meant to be used in situations where the GM might be...
It's an upcoming game from Dicetale Games and Modiphius, and I am certainly impressed by it!
First of all, the free preview bundle has many hundreds of pages. It is a class based system with d10 dicepools. No funny races, different human cultures only. The lore is vast, and I've only scratched...
To be brutally honest, go and find out another way of tickling your fancy.
I am sympathetic in a slight way, but re-inventing the wheel is so nineties.
I turned my son into a car repairman today!
I worked at a car repair shop for nearly a decade before it collapsed. I loaned my only car to my son when he got his license. Today I diagnosed a problem in that car and he fixed it. It was a simple matter of replacing a fuse, but from this day...
I haven't read any of your pdf or blogposts yet as I find this idea somewhat alien in RPGs, but I have a question based on what I've read here.
For example, if a character is carrying a lot of equipment, is quite athletic, is being chased by orcs, and has to jump over lava to avoid certain...
I've used kanka.io for my purposes sometimes. It's useful that the players can check relevant stuff that they want even during the game. I don't enforce no-cellphones rule at my table.
Now that my current WFRP2 group is on their third careers, they start to give off the feel and act more like 1st level D&D5 characters. I keep Fate Points secret from my players so they only know what their total pool is so they don't know that one of them is about to die the next time he fucks...
Don't wanna brag, but today I was asked to GM a whole campaign for a quite large group of people. Well, I guess I have to dismiss a few workshifts per month to make that happen. If only they could make it up for me monies-wise... But I'll fucking do it! :clown:
