Nope, I mean "bucket head" Nova, the dude right before Odin, about four rows from the end. I know there was a phase heroes like Superman and Namor were given the Fabio-hair treatment, I had not idea Nova got dragged into that. Sad times.
Sometimes one, sometimes the other, often a bit of both. A lot of published adventure simply make no sense at all, at least in the way they expect events to unfold but it can be handy to take the general premise and some of the fleshed out, background details from a published adventure, but...
For Wild West games I use Lawmen v Outlaws becasue... I wrote it so it kind of does the things a like and doesn't do the things I don't like; funny coincidence that. It's a very streamline, Fudge-based game. It's strength is in how it plays very fast and reduces the load on the GM while still...
I don't know if it's what you are looking for, but for instance the movie with Jamie Foxx "Dayshift" has a decidedly blue collar, commercial attitude towards vampire hunting.
Good idea. I followed you advice, found a fan-made Youtube video.
I had indeed built the Quinjet all wrong!
It's not all my fault though, a piece was missing.
The Day 3 Spider-man figure on the other hand has an extra piece.
I don't know if missing/extra parts are a common feature. I am not a...
So bought an overpriced Marvel Lego Advent Calendar because I thought it would be fun.
Now I feel stupid because I can't figure out how to assemble some of the lego part correctly.
Another thing to consider it that ours is that people join a game for a range of reasons.
The most important thing of course is the experience during the session. If everyone is having fun, it doesn't matter that the GM is running Rifts using a weird homebrew mix of Amazing Engine and Paranoia...
I think D&D is a special case. Partly becasue the culture around the game (not that I know much about it) but also because the some of the edition changes have affected the game play significantly. For most other games, I agree with the general view here that the average player doesn't know or...
Leisure Games is the big one and they were at the forefront of supporing Indie games back when "Indie games" was still a new concept. https://leisuregames.com/
Off the top of my head, I think some potential options to pursue, depending on the tone of your campaign.
1. Classical - riff off the Greek Underworld or Dante Inferno for a well structured sort of hell, with Cyberus, Charon and river Styx. It makes for readily gameable fodder. I'd do some...
Sort of like various British place names like Edinburgh, Gloucester or Leicestershire where the correct pronunciation clearly is obvious from the spelling.
My problem with T2 is the schmaltzy scenes between teenage John and the Terminator. The ultimate script writing crime occurs when the Terminator asks John why he is crying. Other than that, the T2 is a terrific, slick, sci-fi action movie. One of the best of its kind.
I enjoyed Dark Fate...
The live action Superman movies never really did it for me, though I accept the Reeves casting in that role was genius.
My favourite take on Superman in the animated Justice League series. The high point is when Superman gets out-boyscoutted by Shazam in JL Unlimited.
I agree with the general sentiment of the thread. Sequels and remakes are not necessarily a bad thing, despite the commonly held view. It all depends on the execution.
That said we'll just have to agreee to disagree about 3:10 to Yuma. I find original is a lot tighter (a whole hour shorter)...
