The inconsistencies in weapon skills is really annoying, especially when trying to automate character generation. Having some homelands with an increase in 1H Sword and other with Broadsword is infuriating. Also, giving the Sartar homeland, for example, umpteen weapon skills is annoying, why...
Dorastor in Glorantha is my favourite setting, followed by Prax in Glorantha, and Sherwood Forest in Alternate Earth. I'd love to play in an Ertugrul Resurrection setting, with Turks, Templars, Mongols, and Byzantines.
Yeah, networking can be super-important for a lot of roles. That is something that I am slowly learning.
I handed in my last knowledge assignment for my Apprenticeship/Degree, had Stage Gate 3 signed off for my project, so I could start working on it, and put the survey live, so that was a very...
Slowly managing to work on Bugswarm Swamp for the Jonstown Compendium, nearly there, then it's Foulvale (Ducks in Dorastor) followed by Hahlgrim's War. Eventually, I'll finish what I want to do in Dorastor and move on to Prax.
Bodies was good with some nice temporal loop touches.
Currently watching Westworld, the TV Series, the first series was a blast.
Although I don't play computer games, following the "Playing Sim City for 8 hours straight without blinking then walking down the stairs, bumping into walls, and...
So, there are some examples from real life.
I cannot drive, I started to learn a couple of times but couldn't afford to take my test. My Drive (Car) skill is probably basic, let's say 20%. If I were to drive a car then I'd probably stall it more often than not, or drive very slowly, or even...
What were the skills of the PCs?
If they are running around with skills of 20%-30% then there will be a lot of failures. If they have skills of 70%-80% then the failures are going to be less. Add magic and modifiers into the mix and you can bump skills up a bit.
It is also worth thinking about...
It is worth watching.
No, the one with Elijah Wood. It was pretty good. I'll look out for the British one of Netflix et al.
I finished Gunpowder and it was good all the way through.
Then I watched Obliterated, which was funnier than it deserved to be. Another good one from start to finish...
I come from Northamptonshire, the county of spires and squires, and I didn't realise that most churches didn't have tall spires until I left the county. Here, the spires were partly for lookouts but also to impress how much money had been spent on the church, as a status symbol for the...
Finished, and enjoyed, Somebody.
Then watched Ronja the Robber's Daughter, a pretty good Scandinavian bandit series that was far too short.
For a change, I watched a film, the Firestarter remake, which was OK, good special effects but missed a few bits out from the book that I really liked...
My parents couldn't afford to buy Easter Eggs, so they gave us bars of chocolate instead, as they were a lot cheaper. Now I am an adult, I buy myself Easter Eggs as a special treat, but still like flat-pack Easter Eggs.
Finished and enjoyed Dirk Gently.
Watched Guardians of Justice, a Super Hero series, which I didn't enjoy at all.
Currently watching Somebody, a classy Korean drama about a killer who uses a dating app to find victims, pretty good so far.
I went to an Apprentice meetup yesterday and they had ordered too many pizzas, so I took one home with me, so cold pizza for dinner and tea today and probably tomorrow.
For me, having the book as two scenarios for two systems would be off-putting. I would prefer that each scenario would have stats/rules for both systems. I haven't played Old School Essentials (OSE), so I would need to convert the second half to Call of Cthulhu (CoC) to be able to run it. If OSE...
We are running a donation drive this month to help offset the costs of running the Pub and to avoid running intrusive ads in the future. If you would like to help out please visit this thread for more details. Thank you!
