    What are you watching?

Yeah, and that was only one of the things. The sitting on the railroad track didn't show me how damaged he was... it showed me how much of an asshole he was. Train derailments are a thing that happen from assholes that can't be assed to kill themselves in ways that don't involve others.

    What are you watching?

I wasn't talking about that. Knives do a lot more damage than they ever showed in that movie. And being a knife guy, it was just too much. Dalton took slashes and had to get stitches and sutures. This guy takes full on puncture wounds and just uses duct tape? And doesn't show any internal...

The Video Game Thread: What are you Playing?

In general, yes. Better screen and better battery life.

    The Dank Memes

Not if you just bury them. Which is what they want to do in the first place.

    What are you watching?

I didn't mind that they didn't do a straight remake- I actually liked the story at face value. It's just that some of the stuff just blows through any suspension of disbelief, and some of those things are during the establishing montage.

    What are you watching?

I loved that show. I hope that Netflix continues it- it's a scant hope, but still a hope.

IYO why is GURPS better for Low powered campaigns and HERO is better for High powered campaigns?

Yeah, I don't know what DiffEQ you had, but GURPS is pretty simple unless you're doing something complex, like vehicles or planetary systems.

The Video Game Thread: What are you Playing?

I love mine. Been thinking about getting an OLED version, but decided against it. I've played several AAA titles on it without any problems, and it also encourages pick up and play mentality that my PC didn't allowing me to get to some forgotten gems in my library.

The Video Game Thread: What are you Playing?

Yeah, you might say that, but there are whole definitions that would say otherwise. Let's break it down: Market Dominance: Definition: Market dominance refers to a situation where multiple firms operate within a market, but one specific firm holds majority control. Characteristics: Multiple...

IYO why is GURPS better for Low powered campaigns and HERO is better for High powered campaigns?

I used GURPS for all when I played. Just didn't like the feel of HERO. And it worked fine for both. I think this is going to vary by user. Personally I don't mind that high levels of strength inflict horrendous damage- but then my superhero campaigns have never shied away from danger (which is...

The Video Game Thread: What are you Playing?

I buy games on it, mostly because they're a lot cheaper with the discounts in many cases, and I can try them indefinitely because I have Game Pass.

The Video Game Thread: What are you Playing?

There's a difference between market dominance and a monopoly, and Steam hasn't brought the power it could to bear on the industry.

And a similar idea has never put anyone off publishing.

The Video Game Thread: What are you Playing?

Its their business practices that have them on my bad side. Exclusives are bad for the PC Industry. They're bad enough in the Console industry.

The $25 level has all the games - just doesn't include the starter set for Avatar.

https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2023/09/cdprs-game-engine-transition-means-no-more-cyberpunk-2077-dlc/ They're switching from their in house engine in favor of Unreal 5. I just hate that so many developers are in Epic's pocket, as much as I don't mind the engine from the bit I've done with it...

    What are you watching?

One of my favorite movies to watch. I liked the using of the Brushy Bill device, though I will agree it wasn't really convincing.
