There's a really comprehensive comparison guide to all of the main VTTs that someone maintains on GitHub. It's a really good read but I can't seen to find it at the moment. Will have a look later and see if I can fish out a link. edit: Misremembered that it was on GitHub, but found the guide.

I've turned up for the first session of a newly organised D&D group to be told "lol - D&D sucks, that was just to get players. We are actually going to play random-indie-game instead". Nope. YOU are going to play it - I'm going to find another group instead. I'm always happy to try new games...

Roll20 was fantastic when it first appeared, but has been creaking for a while. What it does still have in its favour is the high numbers of users, which makes it relatively easy to find a game compared to most other VTTs. I've found Foundry far superior in most respects and I'm not tied in...

Received POD copies of ACKS core rulebook and Lairs & Encounters. Also got the POD D&D Rules Cyclopedia. My t-shirts from the UK Games Expo 2020 arrived too. I love the fact this year's design was changed so that the Expo Dragon's hoard is mostly made up of toilet paper...
