It's not just here. The Five Points South pantry in Birmingham, AL and Manna in Asheville, NC had similar things when I was doing volunteer gigs with them back-in-the-day. If they were doing that in the 90's, then it's a pretty safe bet they still are. And I wouldn;t exactly call Birmingham a...
Most places will try to work within dietary restrictions... In Snohomish, we actually keep a stock of gluten-free stuff, vegan and vegetarian options and low/no sodium items around, since we have regular clients with those needs. The corn allergy will be tougher, since... yeah... it's in a lot...
'Saying this as someone who works for one... Go and check out your local food bank and community pantry options. Seriously. They exist to help out people in tough situations, and to make at least one thing less of a stressor. It's why they're there. It's why my crew and a lot of others like us...
I quote the wisdom of my great-grandmother.... "There's nothing wrong with a fine boy in a kilt"
(She thought it was hilarious how bent out of shape my grandmother got over seeing young guys in utilikilts. She thought they were great. XD )

I was sorting through some books yesterday while reorganizing our shelves and came across a game I'd forgotten we even had... Ghost Dog.
The only time I tinkered around with it, for a quick one-off session, I recall it being a pretty solid little game, even if you didn't know a lot about the...
That was supposed to be "some cooking", of course, but the typo was just too funny to fix. :hehe:
The peaches were excellent in an old-school Peach Cobbler... We'll see how about half of those cherries work in the clafoutis.
They are indeed pitted... and I like this idea.
I was trying to avoid just making chocolate-covered cherries with them. That was an obvious idea but I figured there had to be SOMETHING more interesting out there ... and that clafoutis sounds tasty.
Sooo... I may have a batch of sweet, red cherries that have been soaking in a jar of Kraken rum since last Halloween. I know the rum's fate. but what would you guys suggest for those now-gloriously-boozy cherries themselves? Likewise some sliced peaches that may have been steeping in apple...
Exactly that.
I was trying (and apparently completely failing-) to be humorous. Oh well.
I actually went back over to RPGN for the first time in ages to try to clarify. Sorry guys.
