    Carrying Capacity & Encumbrance

Yeah, I really think it comes down to just allowing a single person to have a certain amount of items on them at a certain time. It's much better than tracking weight.

    Useful character backgrounds

When I start my games we come up with a group premise that everyone makes their characters around. "Spies in a foreign fantasy kingdom" We build what the people of our kingdom are like, and what the kingdom we're infiltrating is like. "We come from a druidic/shamanism culture that has gone...

Does anyone run just one system anymore?

Too many skills for me, but I'm planning on trying it too. I'm probably going to try Delta Green or Call of Cthulu first. I looked at M-Space it looked interesting. Mythras seemed a bit high crunch for me, whereas I'm a Low/Medium crunch GM. I don't think my progression focused player would...

Does anyone run just one system anymore?

I really wish I could. I've read basically all of the generic systems, played quite a few, and I hate them all. I would love to play a bunch of different settings all in the same system, and never have to learn new mechanics again. That's the dream. I really only play fantasy / horror...

    Layout Issues

Like this? It's unfortunate that I wouldn't be able to fit more than 2 to a page. I think I may just go with the first way.

    Layout Issues

I tried it this way. I'm not sure why I think it looks odd.

    Layout Issues

Alright, I'll probably have to ditch the idea of doing 2 columns for this section then. It looked weird to me when they weren't even. Thank you!

    Another "Recommend Me" Thread

Haven't played it, but people say good things about the Sword of Cepheus. It's a skill-based system with no restrictive careers. Hope this helps! It's based on the traveller system. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/304840/The-Sword-of-Cepheus

What did you like, and dislike about the games you've played? What kind of fantasy do you want to play? Epic? Grim? etc.

    Layout Issues

Let me know if you think this works! I've included both versions for comparison, which looks better? Thanks for all the help so far. It has been invaluable.

    Layout Issues

Okay, I'll try that tonight! I thought about using tables, but it felt a little funky trying to get the other tables working. I'm very new to layout (this is my first project), so this stuff is super useful :) I'm not sure I want to change the spacing, and font sizes for this project, but...

    Layout Issues

Hi, I'm running into a lot of issues with the layout in the vocation section. I'm not sure how to layout the individual vocations. It just doesn't look very good to have them floating like that. Any suggestions? I'm using affinity publisher. Thanks :)

If RPGPub was a tavern in an RPG...

0 is sitting at a table. He's high as a kite on halfling pipeweed, and just bouncing to the music.

Does personality type or profession inform game preference?

Yeah, I once played in a Pathfinder 2e game, and figured out the killer almost instantly. It was pretty unfortunate haha. I still had a lot of fun though :) I mostly GM, so I try to put interesting mysteries in my games. I really need to run Delta Green.

    What are you watching?

I'm watching a pretty mediocre fantasy show called the outpost. I'll watch it all the way through because there isn't enough fantasy TV shows.

Does personality type or profession inform game preference?

Yeah, I think light vs. crunchy would be an interesting scale especially.

Does personality type or profession inform game preference?

So Human Trafficking is often through grooming, and not kidnapping. So they basically groom girls as young as 12 (but usually around 16). They're usually girls from the same country they're being trafficked in, but that's not always the case. Sometimes they get them involved by getting them...

Does personality type or profession inform game preference?

Ive worked mostly in Major Crimes (Murders, etc), Anti Human Trafficking, and Cybercrime. I'm not sure if I can think of anything specific that I'm allowed to talk about. People are as bad as you think they are, haha. I think delta green's bonds mechanic is aces. That's exactly what happens...
