The first time I saw MtG, I watched two people who owned the comic store thinking of purchasing the game, play it.
At the end of this, there was a discussion of their sales model. “Ah,” I said. “The old baseball card model.”
Afterwards, I was asked my own opinion. I believe I said something...
Current corporate thinking perceives ‘goodwill’ as something they can manufacture, as opposed to an organic quality that exists outside their power to control. So I would argue the board does not believe in the same things we, as drones, believe in.
Three Thousand Years of Longing; on Amazon Prime.
It’s a visually stunning movie that might perplex modern audiences.
It is however a pretty standard 1001 Nights-style storytelling film, the magical stuff is intriguing.
I always thought your character’s moral or ethical core should have been solely the result of your choices in play, rather than said sports team. It was a big part of why I gave up playing D&D in the 1980s.
I watched Ilya Muromets this evening.
It was a great looking, very Soviet-era film that has a huge cast.
While some elements have REALLY, REALLY, REALLY NOT AGED WELL! , overall it as a pretty good folk tale.
Ilya Muromets!
If you can look past the brick-to-the-face racism concerning Mongols/Tartars, and the obvious Soviet-era propaganda, it's a pretty good tale.
Even a three-headed, fire-breathing dragon (that uses an actual WWII-era Soviet flamethrower) in the final act!
In real life, which I normally avoid talking about here, I did come within a foot of a Cassowary in the aftermath of a cyclone, near a beach in Far-North Queensland. It was a strangely magical experience.
But I was prepared to be disemboweled if the encounter went poorly.
When I first read the PF 2.0 rules, it dumbfounded me they did not already do this.
The RAW make it pretty clear the '10 as a base' nonsense is un-necessary, included like some sort of legacy code they were too lazy to write out with their new version.
I will say, making the 'change' from calling something a 'ten' to 'zero' - which was its real value anyway - is blowing some players' minds.
Good thing Space Opera is out of print, or they could be criminally liable for blowing up readers minds!
We are running a donation drive this month to help offset the costs of running the Pub and to avoid running intrusive ads in the future. If you would like to help out please visit this thread for more details. Thank you!
