Tell us about something good that you got recently

I've had that happen. Not for these books but something else entirely. I believe RM are telling porkies and just don't have the staff willing to work Saturday's sometimes.

    The Elephant and Macaw Banner

I'd play if you do run it (assuming you do it on-ilne).
  3. Arcane_Avatar

    The Elephant and Macaw Banner

I believe the books are in Brazilian Portuguese and possibly only one has been translated. The PG is indeed a secton from the main book.
  4. Arcane_Avatar

    The Elephant and Macaw Banner

I got the original release some time back and I've picked a couple of the adventures as well. No realistic chance of running it but it's a great setting.

    Resources for Historical Campaigns

Ive alreadfy got the Osprey on the Balkans but I'd hoped for is a longer version in that same style, easy to read, non-academic but with interesting information. I've also got as copy of the Avalanch Press Vlad for 14 year olds book and was very impressed with the amount of useful information...

    Resources for Historical Campaigns

I'd like to see such a list as well. It's an area/milieu poorly represented in English.

    Are you into secret-agent RPGs?

I've run SOE/Resistance games using C7's World War Cthulhu and that works very well with the usual party structure game. Games using the later WWC Cold War have worked less well but were still loads of fun. My own favourite espionage period is that between the wars, mid to late 30's with the...

    Weird RPG's

Goblin was an unpublished board game illustrated by Jennell Jaquays.

    Are you into secret-agent RPGs?

I spoke with Mark Galleotti (ex-spy and intelligence analyst) a couple of years back and asked which of Spooks or Sandbaggers as most close to real life. Sandbaggers he said, so anyone running spy fiction Sandbaggers is most true to life.

How many years have you been playing RPGs (including GMing)?

Started in 1974 with a photocopied set of OD&D via a friend at Cambridge University who had US friends. First GM'd that Christmas and mostly haven't stopped running game since. Played a number of games moving on from D&D through Traveller and Chivalry and Sorcery to BRP and a variety of Indie games.

    PDQ Games

I ran Jaws a few years back. It was great fun in an OSR style but with updated mechanics. Well worth a punt.

They are there to be moved into place as barricades across the road - chevaux de frise is the usual term for these.

Surprised no-one has mentioend the granddaddy of Sword and Planet game Tekumel/Empire of the Petal Throne

Mythras Factions & Mythic Britain: Gwynedd, Now Available

I thought that Factions bore more than passing resemblance to material previously published as Empires II under the Mongoose Publishing banner. I've used Empires in the past as a behind-the-scenes tool for certain campaigns in the past.

    I'm Not that into Mythras

I have a copy of original Legend and several of the other books in hard copy and Lulu'd several of the pdf's into a single volume for the least used ones. Bear in ind that the editing is well down to Mongooose's usual low standard and the later books have chunks missing.
