Good OSR class name for combination thief/ranger?

It does go down hill after the first but I have a soft spot for Tim Thomerson

Did I make a mistake by giving a character his arm back?

I know players that threatened to quit the game if an animal companion dies so I don’t doubt they would quit if they lost a limb. Not everyone wants the same experience and that is A-OK with me.

(OSE) Critique my homebrew outlaw class?

So maybe the prime requisite would change with a kind of character you choose to play.

(OSE) Critique my homebrew outlaw class?

But you don’t need skills to like streetwise and diplomacy if you just make having a high CHA a prime requisite

Did I make a mistake by giving a character his arm back?

In a cyberpunk setting they may volunteer to have limbs hacked off…

(OSE) Critique my homebrew outlaw class?

That’s how old D&D treats them I assume OSE just carried that forward since it is just a straight rip of B/X

    OSR: what is it even

The great thing about the OSR is that you can take from it what you want and leave the rest. Although you can do that with any RPG…

(OSE) Critique my homebrew outlaw class?

Did I make a mistake by giving a character his arm back?

I am one of those players that enjoys the possibility of being maimed and having to overcome that but in the situation you described the new limb has opened up all kinds of great possibilities so it isn’t like You just did a quick retcon. I see no problem with it.

IYO why is GURPS better for Low powered campaigns and HERO is better for High powered campaigns?

@AsenRG my experience with their games is solely with the Macho Women with Guns line, TimeLords, SpaceTime and WarpWorld. I went to wiki for my answer: “The basics of the TimeLords system provided the framework that would be developed into EABA.”

What PHD Do You Need To Play...

It definitely should, if you aren’t playing up the fashion aspect you are ignoring an important part of the Cyberpunk 2020 setting.

IYO why is GURPS better for Low powered campaigns and HERO is better for High powered campaigns?

How close is EABA to the original rules for Timelords?

    RPG GM's and Storytellers

Referee although as I referenced in post 33 Game Master was also in common use amongst the crowd prone to play RPGs. “Fans knew the term "gamesmaster" already when D&D came out because it had a long pedigree in postal gaming circles. The term "gamesmaster" was in use in the postal Diplomacy...

    What are you watching?

Since you already are annoyed at the character he played it might be a good time to watch Nightcrawler, you won’t like that character either.

    What are you watching?

You aren’t wrong but I just accept it as setting up how tough he is, I wanted a popcorn flick and mostly got one, I didn’t expect gritty realism. I definitely can understand how that would take you out of the film if you had different expectations though.

    What are you watching?

I don’t know, if Mike Tyson at the height of infamy stepped in the ring at the beginning would that guy have done the same thing? I guess we need to go to spoilers but I thought the opening was cute.

I mean as long as your players don’t mind you can be on the skins team

    OSR: what is it even

i think most of use consider the afterward in OD&D as giving the referee freedom to do as they wish by telling them to “decide how you would like it to be, and then just make it that way!”
