I've actually run Aria and I don't think it's terribly baroque. It's a different concept, but the complexity of the design is entirely in line with its contemporaries. The somewhat po-mo taxonomy could have used a second look, though.

Dude, I played a long campaign of Aria crossed over with Harnmaster.
