Best Selling RPGs - Available Now @ DriveThruRPG.com
Got a couple new ones today - first: The Chronicles of Aeres: Wilderkind (Redwall-style animal adventurers for Castles & Crusades) is currently free, possibly for today only.

Secondly, there's a new Warhammer Humble Bundle, covering Soulbound, Wrath & Glory, and what I think is 4th Edition WFRP.

The WFRP books in the bundle are indeed 4th Edition.

Damn it, damn it, damn it! I don't need any more RPG books...

But it's only $18, Precious!

Fine! <Clicks Buy Now button...>

Sigh.
I can say it's a good selection. If someone was just going to own 4 books from 4E, you couldn't do better.

Agreed, I couldn't turn it down. I have all the 2E stuff, and was going to eventually buy the 4E stuff, so winner winner chicken dinner! And I get a bunch of the Wrath & Glory 40K stuff, plus the Age of Sigmar stuff. Will I use any of it? Who knows? My son's group of hooligans have taken well to Pirate Borg, so I'd imagine playing Warhammer or 40K would be right in their wheelhouse...

In addition to the regular sale, DTRPG has a page of free "Trick or Treat" options up. I don't know how long it's been up - I only found out about it from a promo email - nor how long it will last, though the email hinted that the options might change before Tuesday.

It has been changing daily, and today's options include a free copy of Vaesen.

If it makes anyone feel any better, I've been checking it regularly for the past few days, and Vaesen today was the first thing that really stood out to me. Now, my tastes are unusual (I have no interest in 5E, WoD, PbtA games, or many other popular items), so I can't say that there wasn't anything that I should have called out, but nothing jumped out over the past week.

I grabbed Shattered: A Grimdark RPG yesterday, but I didn't know it was a new deal every day, so there are likely a bunch I missed.

The World Beneath looks like a departure from the usual Storyteller fare.

Be honest. We're any of them not on your already purchase list?
Yes. I already had Bluebeard's Bride and Vaesen, and I'd just backed The World Below. The others, I didn't know about. And one of them wasn't really my cup of tea from first glance.

Yeah, Bluebeard's Bride and Vaesen seem to be the two worth grabbing for free.

Happy Halloween!

The Great American Dynasty is a Call of Cthulhu scenario that blends elements of Lovecraftian horror with the familiarity of early Americana.

So there originaly was a whole thread about Kosmic RPG - a new (Oct 27, 2023) science fiction RPG, that is currently on sale.

The thread and (unless I am terribly mistaken) the game were by D dragoner, but his rpgpub account was probably vandalized, so the thread is gone. I am posting it here, because people should see it. If this game is not sexy, then I don't know what is.

Does anyone know if Mongoose books typically go on sale during Black Friday, Tech Tuesday, etc? I urgently, desperately, NEED to buy the 2300AD line, but at the current price it might facilitate marital discourse....

Over on the big purple Mongoose Matt said no. Mongoose didn’t want to undercut game stores.

Ah! I see… I can understand that logic, though I was hoping otherwise. Maybe, I will have to settle just for the core books right now, or go PDF only on some of them (though the PDFs are painful too).

I hate this logic, because a lot of people don't have game stores to purchase from, and the few that exist don't really participate in the shopping frenzy.
