I should try for options...!I always assumed that you were just a silent partner? :-)
nice to know, although I will never use Doctor Who to teach rpgs to kids, it includes some of the cruelest bits in any franchise I ever seen.Teach your kid to game week promo sale at dtrpg. Includes games like Hero Kids, Kids on Brooms, Pugmire, Tiny Taverns, Stranger Stuff (Tiny D6), Wanderhome, Bunnies and Burrows, Doctor Who: Adventure in Space... and way more. Lots of the anthropomorphic animal games. Link to the promo page with list of sale products is here.
Is that the TV franchise, or the game franchise (or both)?nice to know, although I will never use Doctor Who to teach rpgs to kids, it includes some of the cruelest bits in any franchise I ever seen.
the TV one. but I would find difficult separating the two, especially with kids, who most probably would want to play "the thing we saw on TV"Is that the TV franchise, or the game franchise (or both)?
...wait, if they've seen the TV franchise anyway, what's the harm if they also get to play itthe TV one. but I would find difficult separating the two, especially with kids, who most probably would want to play "the thing we saw on TV"
they should n t have until teen IMO. nevertheless I don t want kids associate as first imprinting for their life's hobby a franchise in which good characters routinely die or worse and in which villains routinely torture or practice genocide....wait, if they've seen the TV franchise anyway, what's the harm if they also get to play it?
So no Star Wars I take it?they should n t have until teen IMO. nevertheless I don t want kids associate as first imprinting for their life's hobby a franchise in which good characters routinely die or worse and in which villains routinely torture or practice genocide.
unless you want show kids persons literally burning victims with flamethrowers or arresting and torturing them violating human rights or maiming them, well no.So no Star Wars I take it?
Fair enough, at least it's consistentunless you want show kids persons literally burning victims with flamethrowers or arresting and torturing them violating human rights or maiming them, well no.
I will not.
I picked up the previous who bundle a few years back. Still never played it.This is the link for a Dr. Who megabundle currently on Humble Bundle. It includes what looks like most if not all of the 'Adventures in Time and Space' game line and also some audio dramas and comics. You get 36 items for $18. Given our recent discussion, I thought it might be of interest, or not.
I'm on the fence myself; I am a fan of Who (especially the Tom Baker era) but realistically am not very likely ever to play the game. Still, getting the game line for less than $1 per book is tempting.
I ask in all seriousness ('cos I've been on the fence myself about the current bundle)I picked up the previous who bundle a few years back. Still never played it.
No.I ask in all seriousness ('cos I've been on the fence myself about the current bundle)
- Have you even looked at what you purchased, or is it just consuming harddrive space?
- And was it worth it for the reading? These days I could spend that amount if I purchased a new novel
Oh Shit - Ignore the above questions! Asking them just niggled something in the back of my brain and I just went and checked....
I bought this back in a 2017 bundle![]()

I think I'm one of the reasons that they instituted that. I do remember I bought duplicates before it was implemented, andThat's what I appreciate aboutAllen Varney and the Bundle of Holding: they won't let me buy another copy. Lol. Instead, they give me anything new that changed since the last time it ran

4) All of the above? When you forget that you have already purchased something, and purchase it again:
1) You are becoming your parents ( Think, where have we seen that shirt before?)
2) The item you purchased was not particularly memorable.
3) You are buying way to much crap to keep up with it all.
That's one interpretation. I'd disagree. A lot of it can be contributed to FOMO, Impulsiveness and excitement, which wouldn't be covered by any of those, and is actually the thing that gets me in that. And a lot of it can also be contributed to competing platforms. I've purchased things again because of the fact that I have it elsewhere, and knew that I had it, but hadn't organized it. Putting your own interpretations on someone else's experience as an authority is sort of bad form, IMO.When you forget that you have already purchased something, and purchase it again:

I'm saying that's different than what becoming your parents means. But whatever...You think your parents didn't have FOMO, impulsiveness, or excitement?
I'd say they just didn't have an acronym for FOMO.
Yeah, it might mean lots of things we didn't expect...I'm saying that's different than what becoming your parents means. But whatever...

Oh shit - you mean I'm going to develop a pot belly? I already have a receding hairline.
This was meant as kind of joke, nothing personal .For the becoming your parents bit I was thinking of this commercial:That's one interpretation. I'd disagree. I mean it might mean that as well. There's no "will", but some of the things that end up happening might well end up surprising you...in an "I didn't know I'm signing up for that, too!" wayOh shit - you mean I'm going to develop a pot belly? I already have a receding hairline.
No worries. Bad day, or I would have just let it pass. No harm, no foul. This was meant as kind of joke, nothing personal .
My father had a full head of hair when he passed away at 81. I’ve got very, very little and I’m only 53.
Not fair at all.
