I own Mechanicus as well, but haven't played it. It was one of those games I had on my wishlist on GOG, and then just bought when it got on sale.
For those who are interested, here is a review of it from a Youtuber I follow.
Mechanicus is really good and, surprisingly, very funny. The only real complaints when it came out was that it was a bit easy, but they've since added difficulty options which takes care of that.

Aw crap. I just learned of the upcoming Warhammer Quest: Cursed City game.

I don't need another one of these dungeon crawlers. I'm still waiting on the updated Heroquest. I still have tons of Blackstone Fortress to play. Ugh.

But it calls to me. The precious calls...

The art design and miniatures are frustratingly good, aren't they? It's nice to see something looking Old World again.

The original Necromunda rules are my favorite 40K skirmish rules. I actually co-wrote a game called Thunderhawk Down that ported all the then current codexes and gear over to Necromunda rules. I think I still have a copy of the rules somewhere.

Totally agree. And a lot easier on the wallet than 40k.

I did find a beta test of those rules if anyone is interested. They are based on 40K circa 2009.

Bleah, it's Age of Sigmar. Just about everything could fake it for the Old World though, even the Dwarf, although he's over the top. Then again, when aren't Warhammer Dwarves over the top?

Hells yeah, toss 'em up.
OK, here they are, beta test 4, the game is called Thunderhawk Down: The Ruins of Icarus Prime. This is based on 5th edition rules and codexes, and while you could kit bash it for other editions it would be a lot of work. Essentially, we added some of the 40K rules to the Necromunda base and then went through each codex to build a strike team out of the available troops and characters and then added advancement and additional gear. This game was playtested over the course of several months at a busy FLGS, and we ran a demo table at a Toronto Games Day, but I wouldn't say it's 100% balanced yet. We had a ton of fun writing and playing it, I hope some of you do to.

Well, shit, I was typing while it was uploading and it says the file is too big. I'll try posting it as a resource, and if that doesn't work I'll happily email to anyone who wants a copy. I'll post a resource link here if it works.

That should work. Let us know if there is an issue.

Apparently it's too big for resources as well (1.08 MB). Anyway, here's a link to the PDF on my google drive: . If there's a way to get it added as a resource I'm all ears.

So, having had a chance to breeze through the rules for the first time in a decade, I think it's fairer to say that game is solidly 5th edition 40K with enough structure and mechanics lifted from Mordheim to make it playable as a campaign game in that same style, and some rules tweaks to 5E to make it all work. Anyway, it's a ton of fun to play if you have the 5E rules kicking around.

Having discovered I can print a passable Epic scale marine on my Ender 3 I'm getting back into Epic 40k (well the Epic UK rules - the last set I brought was Space Marine with the Eldar forces).
Printed off 6 drop pods this morning and now all I can do is walk about the house muttering "And they shall know no fear!" to myself.

someone was selling this on Facebook (asking a ridiculous price of course, because someone told him Bretonnia was rare and valuable these days and he found this in an old shoebox or something and thought he struck gold)

...and I couldn't help turning it into a meme

Just realized your avatar is showing someone a phone. All this time I thought the cat person was sipping from a juicebox. :drink:
Maybe it's a phone AND a juice box (and a camera, and a online shopping cart, and a video game, and an electric shaver, and a jello mold, and... )

Youtube decides that White Dwarf magazine is "pornographic content"

Without clicking on that, I'm going to guess Slaanesh and the tit-tentacles or Slaanesh and then penis-tentacles, either way, my money is on Slaanesh.

There’s definitely some freed nipples going on in the model range, although oddly, not on that figure.
Is there still freed nipple? I remember them on the older models (Daemonettes especially- I remember they released a set of individual models of Daemonettes and they were the models that we couldn't paint and show off- especially because we were in a big mall), but it seemed that they moved away from it with the later models.

Yeah, new Slaanesh models are PG

For some reason, my favorite greater daemons are the older metal ones. The newer ones are bigger and more detailed and crisper but nope - I like the old lumpy ones. I don't think it's just nostalgia. Something of the old, cartoony look has been lost.

I'm not sure about the other Chaos ones, but I hated the old Great Unclean One. I always wanted on that looked like the iconic cover image of Realms of Chaos, so the Forgeworld one and the new plastic Endtimes version were way more to my liking.

DAMN they are good!
Check out their “Demons of Ruin” ie. Nurgle, but not if you have Body Horror issues. Seriously

This one’s pretty tame. Most of the demons come with alternate heads and weapons too.

I love the write ups they give each demon. The Bile Mother is particularly grim.
