A little late to this thread but I did a Conan game with Mythras and the spider gods bride last year. Pitch perfect as far as I am concerned. I was really happy with how that went.
 
Mythras is an amazing system. I'm of the opinion it is perhaps the single best fantasy system around, as far as my style of play.
