Back in the 90s one of the local comic stores used to semi-regularly have all the EC folk who were still around come in for signings. I remember hanging around for Al Williamson to arrive one time, only to find out he had to cancel.

Later on I found out a former ECer lived one town over from me, and I used to pass by his house on a near-daily basis; I assume he was responsible for the local appearances. That would be the first of two folks related to the comic industry whose home I’d pass on a regular basis, though the other didn’t become involved until decades later.

For someone who lives in the jungle that first panel sure has a lot of temperate animals in it. Rabbits, bears, a mongoose maybe? I know bears live in India, but alongside Jaguars? It's like the island from Swiss Family Robinson!

I feel that Arnie is missing the opportunity to do a Conan film set in the king of Aquilonia era, especially given is experience as an actual gubernator.
