Hi I am new and just wanted to say hello.

I mostly just lurk on rpg.net because that's all it's worth now and do some posting on therpgsite. Found this place and thought I would stop in.

Love all types of genres of rpgs and have played and run so many I have lost count.

I am currently running D&D 5e (which I am trying to end because I am really getting to hate 5e) and Old School Essentials which is currently my favorite OSR game and really enjoy it. It feels like D&D used to feel when running it.

How about a round of "Guess the infraction and penalty"?

I don’t have access to any real proof or facts, just random information on the internet. There is enough information for Till to be charged, but the real proof and facts should come out in the courts. What if he is shown to be innocent? I do support and want more people to come forward and to not be afraid to come forward if they have been abused, but I’ll save my anger and outrage for when someone is proven guilty and not before.

That seems to be a common reaction to running 5e for any significant length of time:thumbsup:!
Just out of curiosity, how do you feel about DCC?

I really love it. I had the base book but I just invested in the Advance Players Tome, Advance Refrees Tomb and the Ref's Screen.

I am running it online right now but I would love to run it in person to show others the joy of playing a fantasy RPG that plays like D&D did in the begining.

I just ran three sessions of OSE this weekend. The wonderful Hideous Daylight and an adventure from Wyvern Songs both made by Swordlands Publishing.

I am running the game bi-weekly and I currently running The Hole in the Oak. I am running it online but would like to run OSE in person so people can see there are other fantasy games than D&D.

Honestly, I played it and I really didn't like it. Maybe it was the Game Master and if given the chance to play it again I would to give it a fair chance.

Yeah, I agree. I find myself posting there less. A bunch of people saying they don't want politics in their gaming and then proceed to talk about politics. Not fun. I do not allow people to talk about

Its a lot more fun here. Just don't mention the animals that are a little bit like ducks.

It's not the politics so much for me, but the excessive fixation on them, and how completely oblivious they are to how it warps their sense of reality. I like to vent every once in a while. But Jeeses! :shock:

Hole in the Oak was a really fun adventure for my group!

And it's good to see more fellow refugees.

Welcome! And you should try Cold Iron!... :-)

One thing I like here is that most of us are really playing games so we're talking about what we're playing more than what we wish we could play, what we don't want to play, or what other's should or should not play.

Some of us are into game design and publishing.

Yes, I was told by more than one person that it is the perfect adventure for a group just starting out. I totally agree.

I would say that OSE is actually more D&D than 5E! Do you plan to run the The Incandescent Grottoes as a follow up? I actually flipped the entrance to the river because I couldn't figure out how to easily connect the two locations but I liked the idea of both being connected.
