Mythras Encounter Generator:

Skollz's site is one of the wonders of Mythras, an encounter generator for Mythras - http://skoll.xyz/mythras_eg/

- to really appreciate and understand how it works requires a visit to 'Notes from Pavis' ...Notes from Pavis - despite the title, this is not exclusively Gloranthan it is the home of Hannu Kokko's reference sheets and work with the Mythras Encounter Generator - https://notesfrompavis.blog/

Roll20:
Mythras has a dedicated, comprehensive sheet written by Matt Carpenter. It can be slow to use at the moment but a new version of the sheet is in development which should resolve the performance issues dramatically, until then using Firefox goes a long way towards a speedier experience. It works fine with a free Roll20 account.

Foundry VTT:
Mythras now has a character sheet working in Foundry. It is still early-ish in development so there are bugs, and it is not fully featured yet.

Due for release in 2021:

That'd be pretty cool. Maybe that'll be the thing that pokes me over the edge in to trying Mythras!

Mythras sales bots EVERYWHERE. :hehe:

Lemme see how I like the rules first.

In Bilharzia Bilharzia's defense, he keeps that post ready at all times for the inevitable Reddit Mythras inquiry. One can only type that stuff out so many times before you formulate the need to whack everyone over the head with it.

I confess I do have this at the ready to spam it. I am making an effort to update it a bit more. In case anyone is interested there's a plan to mount a winter commando raid on Pete Nash's villain hideaway near the Arctic Circle in case Mythic Greece isn't released this year.

While it's a good idea, I wouldn't recommend it. I've seen the Nash defences, the armoury, and I've seen how well his kids can throw shuriken. Yeah, Nah, you don't wanna do that.

Speaking of free stuff, Drivethru are making us resubmit Mythras Imperative, because their printer no longer supports saddle-stitched books. Which is an arse, but not much we can do about it.

So today I've taken the opportunity to update Imperative, correct some outstanding errata, make it more colourful, and will be uploading it to DTRPG, our site, and Lulu, in a lovely refreshed version.

Here is an sample.

The PDF remains free, and the POD version will be as low priced as we can make it.

Now this is how the next edition of the Mythras corebook should also look!

I’ve been re-reading Lyonesse too. It’s tops for just it’s all-around beauty. Ive only got it on PDF but I’d probably buy a hard copy, and I don’t usually do that.

Yes, I have the whole series on the shelf. It's one I revisit from time to time. In fact, I recently got a second hardcover I am sending to a friend. As I just ordered the hardcover of the RPG, I'm going to pass along my softcover of the RPG along with the novel.

EDIT: I don't know why I was interpreting your post as being about the novel. I'll blame it on lack of sleep.

And I just got a notice of Imperative bring updated on DTRPG

Just noted it in my inbox as well.

Edit: Interesting at the file size difference. The new version is 114,003KB versus my 14/10/29 version which is 22,063KB. Compression differences I assume.

I'll have to download the new Mythras Imperative.

In the meantime, what about fries with brown gravy, ala the movie Diner? Or with malt vinegar?
Gravy fries, Garlic fries, Chili Cheese Fries, Curry Fries, Nacho Fries, Fries w/Seasoned Salt, Fries w/Spicy Aioli, Poutine, all are good. Fries are a perfect food. Of course being Polish/German/Irish, I may be genetically predisposed to potato worship. :shade:

i married a person of your church. Has said, out loud, "I've never met a potato I didn't like"

Now I want a Mythras setting, co-written by Ken Hite and the ghost of R.A. Lafferty, set in the years of the potato famine and 1848 revolutions, in which player-characters are agents of the Green Revolution against the Red. It will be called Tuberquest: The Green Flame.

There is (maybe was) this place in a local mall that served these fires drenched in cheese sauce and grilled onions, just the best. Then one day I went there to get some fires and they weren't serving them any more.

Read that and started drooling, then went to a mental sigh as you said they didn't serve them anymore. Hmm, time to talk to the wife about doing that this weekend. Yum.

Yeah, I was disappointed that they stopped doing it, but then I remembered that it's super simple to do on my own. Grilled Onion + Cheese + Fries = Heaven and a Heart Attack!

Fair enough. I had in mind this odd novel by Lafferty:

Flame is Green.jpg

The start of this online review does a good job of summing up what it's about:

"The Flame Is Green" is about the adventures of a young Irishman named Dana Coscuin, who sets out from Bantry Bay in 1845, just as the potato blight is settling onto Ireland and Europe is preparing for the Revolutions of 1848. He makes the tour of the greater and lesser scenes of unrest and pre-unrest, with special attention to Carlist Spain, Paris, and Krakow. The potato blight and the revolutions are not unrelated. On the prosaic level, the author reminds us that the potato harvests also failed in much of Europe in those years: not so disastrously as in Ireland, perhaps, but enough to help foment unrest. On the level of high symbol, however, we also are reminded that the blight caused a red mist of corruption to settle over the green fields. Coscuin and his friends are in the service of the Green Revolution, which at that point in history is largely coincident with the nationalist uprisings. Their task is to protect it from the Red Revolution, which did not yet have much to do with socialism, and which in any case is a primordial thing of no particular politics.

You hear that Séadna Séadna? We’ll expect your first draft by Thanksgiving!
Merkin holidays! Nobody over this side even knows what that is. Pocahontas is just some chick buried under a car park in Gravesend.
Turkey cocks come from Turkey, right?
