My brother wasn't a big RPG-er, but he loved Fiasco, and one of the scenarios we once played at Emerald City Comicon involved "getting the monkey brains to complete the ritual."

iirc, the climax of that scenario somehow ended up in a submarine that was on fire while it was underwater.
Well, that's certainly possible. The space inside is what's burning, not the outside.
Unless they were using some of the water-resistant chemicals.

Well that leads to the obvious question...what booth was the brain at?
You're assuming that the monkey wasn't the captain:thumbsup:?

I think the Mods should create their own NFT cryptocurrency called Modcoin. One Modocoin is equal to one cheeseburger. You just work out lesser and greater values from there. It's that simple.

I have one million Modcoins, as the creator, and therefore I am entitled to 1 million cheeseburgers.

Obviously the NFT cryptcurrency should be called PUBCoin. One of them should also make a video shilling it. Like this guy: (fair warning, there might be loud screaming)

You’re showing your age with that comment Fenris-77 :-)

He isn't old. He is distinguished and wise  I remember this line from the 1980 movie, and am in my mid-40s (it is the first movie I consciously remember watching as a kid). Also seem to recall a TV show in the 80s on rerun (was there a Popeye television show?)

Now I really want to know the history of this. Did wimpy ever order cheese burgers or was it always hamburgers ? The way Fenris phrases it has a better ring to it I think. And why do I feel like I have had this conversation before ?
The original Wimpy was always hamburgers. Dunno if he ever got with the times.

My son is top player in town right now and generally places in the top 20 at events in Calgary. Unfortunately I'm in no position to tell him not to hang all his hopes and dreams on his favorite game...

I didn’t see the movie but Popeye had a television series.

The tv series cartoons were originally theatrical cartoon shorts like Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry. They played on tv well into the 80s, I remember them well.

The film is by Robert Altman and is an odd beast that has developed a cult following.

Either I'm remembering it badly or there was one episode where they went to an alien planet by boat.

Never really played the original Pirates somehow but absolutely love the remake.

I was a major sports game player, Kick Off 2 and Wayne Gretzky Hockey were my games of choice, although we played just about anything.

The Popeye cartoons made their way over the Atlantic as we had them in the UK too. Although my favourite cartoons were Dogtanian, Lost Cities of Gold, He-Man and Thundercats (although in theory I was a little 'old' for that one).

Eh, being good at Smash on it's own won't get you very far, it's the other skills that he can pick up along the way that could be valuable in the long term - analysis, reading players, helping run events, etc. Or if he streams and can transition that into something longer-term.

It's a hard road, but it's not impossible.
