Monty Hall died

I never had the pleasure of a monty haul GM. Probably as I was weaned on Warhammer Fantasy. But I always felt superhero RPGs in general kind hit the same buttons, being indulgent power fantasies by nature. And in my first D&D campaign, our DM did allow us to indulge in completely going off the rails of anything close to the game's intentions and conquer the world's economy.

RIP, Monty. Maybe he'll get a good deal in the afterlife.

I never did do the Monty Haul thing.

But I do have fond memories of telling players the contents of a treasure chest as part of the process of describing a room. Ahh, first game memories.
