There have been several versions of the game, and multiple revisions of Book of the Manor, Book of the Estate, etc. including some “advanced” versions Stafford sold on his own site.

In your opinion, what’s the best version, the most complete, etc?
If you know, how does it compare to HarnManor?

Book of the Estate for manors typical to a player. It's a simpler system for manors and the economics have been straighten out a bit. Also the modifications to the Winter Phase are better than the ones in the core, more realistic child birth and death odds. The whole political layout of Logres is explained well.

Book of the Manor is worthwhile when you progress into the middle of the period where Arthur is king and where "peasant rights" are more acknowledged and estate management becomes more complex.

Breakdown of the book is:
Political and Legal divisions in Logres (they're essentially a simplified England ~1100)
Obtaining an Estate
Organisation of household, dealing with damage to property and Economics of land holdings
Examples of estates and Estate "upgrades"
New Winter Phase rules
