In particular, I'd like something from way down on the ground and out in front, along the lines of Gary Linderer, Alan G. Cornett, and Lynda van Devanter's accounts of their respective Vietnam experiences--so not overviews by generals, politicians, and armchair historians but from the people who did the shooting and healing. The absence of book stores aside from B&N makes browsing much harder these days, and B&N devotes very little space to anything that's not hot off the press.
