Séadna Séadna, Fenris-77 Fenris-77 - You get back to the Annex and Rocco has somebody on the comms. He's looking a bit perturbed. He says Arjen is on the phone and wants to know what the hell is going on?
 
'Should I take this call and see who we're dealing with?' I ask.

OOC: Yes. Arjen has called Rocco and Rocco is saying Arjen wants to know what the hell is going on. From this you can surmise that the intruders may have been Arjen's goons and Arjen is less than impressed that he's lost contact with them.

OOC: Phew! In one of Dumarest's games I spoke to an NPC 2 km away from me at one point :goof:

Rocco says "Oh, Jesus. Get them in here and for god's sake don't rough them up any more." He goes back to his conversation with Arjen and says "We'll bring them to the Annex."
 
Yoster will get on the blower and relay the request to bring them up to the rest of the crew. He'll mention to Brun that there's a release solvent built into the Goober gun (he hopes).

OOC: There's a compartment in the butt stock that fits a squirty bottle that you can take out and spray. The effect is a bit like spraying acetone on polystyrene. You wind up with goo that you can scrape off. The goo is still very sticky and gets everywhere, but with the solvent you can take it off with an industrial grease cleaner (think something along the lines of Swarfega)

Somebody on the other end of the phone sound like Arjen. He is quite angry and demands to know who you are what the hell is going on.

Séadna Séadna, Fenris-77 Fenris-77 - You overhear the conversation with Rocco. The other party says "Just a minute", then away from the phone's microphone "Who are you and what the hell is going on?"
 
Brun will follow orders and begin moving the two goons back, moving the uncon one first.

OOC: If you do something that affects one of the other characters or say something to another character, give the player a mention (e.g. Voros Voros) and the system will generate a notification.

Fenris-77 Fenris-77, Séadna Séadna - You hear some choice invective coming from Rocco's handcomp. He visibly flinches at it, and gives you the biggest WTF look you've ever seen. Then he talks to Arjen for a bit, looks back at you and says "Ransom? What the hell do you think you're doing!?"
 
"I really wish someone would let me know what's going on, you've kind of left me out of updates, I'm presuming," Bishop says.

The bottle of solvent unclips from the butt stock. It's about as far around as a red bull can and a bit longer, with a spray nozzle on the end. It looks like it holds about 350ml. When you spray the solvent it smells strongly of ketones and other organics with an overpowering smell of citrus, probably limonene. When you spray it on the solidified goober it dissolves to a sticky mess. You help the conscious one up, pick up the unconscious one and sling him over your shoulder.

You arrive and see two unknown parties beaten up and goobered. Brun is picking up an unconscious party; there is another standing with Lola, who had a handcomp.

Rocco relays the message and hands the phone to you. Arjen asks "What the hell have you done to my men?"

Arjen sounds a little less cross - "They'd better be OK. Just bring them to the Annex and we'll get on with the meeting." Then he says "Oh, they look alright. Pass me back to Rocco."
 
'So what's the plan? Assuming we got a plan.'
 
The plan, as I see it, is to convince this dick to let us do the offworld job. Anythjng after that is gravy. Longterm is fine, but lets see how it goes.
 
'Alright,' Lola says. 'Best prepare for a rumble if we need to,' she says, sliding her gun in sleeve.
 
"We play nice and look professional. We need this job." says Yoster. "We can screw him over later if that's what makes sense."
 
Espa turns back to Rocco and Shora.

"Alright so we'll get to Casirim and collect the shipment, you'll confirm pick up details with the client and we'll go from there. Seems pretty simple. All agreed?"
 
"I've at least got some manners, I can be presentable.." He grins to himself. "Compared to some anyway."
