Anybody be interested in playing in a game of Wizards of the Coast’s Star Wars Saga Edition (2007)? I’ve never actually ran the game but I’m considering it now. I thought about maybe doing something post Return of the Jedi. I’m not sure yet, but I wanted to see if there was interest first.

i'd be all over that shit.

I've played it a few times, other than Force users being OP, it worked alright (I'd have lowered Forces users BAB's, and HP a bit.) since they're more specialist fighter/magic-users, comparable more to a cleric in D&D terms, but that's mostly to balance the sheer effectiveness of force powers. I've enjoyed it a few times and not at other times. So yeah, post-ROTJ is a good time period. I'd need a solid pitch for what the campaign is like though to throw my hat in so to speak.

I'd consider it. I have the books but never got a chance to play.

It was probably going to be about the Jedi Order getting reestablished by Luke. I wouldn’t necessarily follow canon after the movie.

Sounds good to me. I'm up for that. (I played a heck out of the Jedi Academy game, which had him and Kyle Katarn and Kyle was snarky about things sometimes. "I sense a disturbance.." 'You always sense a disturbance." Hehheh) NOt that I expect that, it was just a silly video game.

I’m thinking maybe a couple years after Jedi. The characters don’t all have to be Force Sensitives either. That’s just the basic gist of the game at this point.

We can use Saga or RCR. I’m fine with either.

Oooh Ewok is a valid race! Sweet!
Wow not even an eye batted. I was expecting rocks and dagger eyes aimed at me. Was it that transparent a tease?

I played a Gungan Jedi in a game online almost twenty years ago. Can’t bat my eye.

“Meesa bombad Jedi!”

Good lord. Gungans and Ewoks. :fu:

Yousa gonna die o cuteness!

I did an Ewok hunt game in Traveller once, this gets my vote!
You had a sentient species hunt in your Traveller game? I think I might try to join.

It was back in the '80s before the prequels came out so we didn't get to include Gungans.

Never seen it. I have little interest in fan-made material. The stuff I’ve seen in years past has not been good.
Troops is worth watching. It's quite funny if you're old enough to remember what it's ripping on.

Cops was, after all, the show that brought the term 'Wife Beater Shirt' into common parlance.

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a dead Ewok on a stick kid.

Eeew. Do you know how those are made! EEW.

Anyway, what books are we using, for species?

So how many here are interested in playing this particular campaign idea?

Is this going to be PbP or live online?

Play-by-post.

I can’t guarantee being live at any point in time.

Im interested then. My internet won't do fantasy grounds and discord at once.

I'm good. I like voice or text chat, but this works.

I'm interested

I am very much into this, especially if Ewoks are actually on the table.

Or Human Mandalorian, initially sought Jedi training because he realized he was falling... and is starting to realize that he needs both of his parents' traditions to be spiritually whole.

Rogue assassin droid, studying the Jedi Order to help devise better ethical and aspirational protocols for independent droids.

I'm reading that stripped down version of WEG - Hyperspace D6. It looks pretty sweet, and it could be an option for running this game if there's some nostaglia for the WEG system and some interest in playing an updated version of it.

I've been through the whole Hyperspace PDF (all 29 pages of it). It's great IMO. It's got the right knobs and dials for SW and its really is stripped down for speed. Its almost SW-OSR (hah!) in that you could easily add in any bits and bobs you wanted, which is my preference over starting with all the bits and bobs and then not using half of them. My first clue that I was going to like it was when I saw the skill list was cut to about 30 down from WEGs 90-ish.

If I were going to run D6, I’d just use my own version. It’s not really stripped down. It’s more like D6 with other bits of other games mixed in. I’ve posted bits of it in the design forum.

I'm good with whichever, I like essential more..but that's me...because I can do more scratch building. But go with your instincts.

Well, I’ve been pondering the Force rules lately. I don’t know if any game has gotten it quite right. I don’t know if my version would either...I’ll see if I can write up a brief synopsis and put it up.

I thought the Star Wars you showed me was right, but I remember it having more races and professions that you could combine. It's odd, I wonder where I got it.
