Tatouine step 1: Get the streets out - After some frigging, I got the streets out of the map and converted them to a usable layer.

Starting with the Openstreetmap.org data for Tataouine, I got the vectors for the street, clipped them to sensible limits and made a streets layer for a modified map.

Unfortunately the pub won't accept SVG files, so here it is exported as a PDF.
