Eloise sets course for the Class C Starport, scanning for any other ships or space debris along the way.
"Could whatever hit us have hit the planet too?" Trip asks.
There is a landing tarmac exposed to the elements, with what is obviously a small control tower with numerous antennae and sensory equipment mounted atop its exterior, as well as what looks to be a platform for descent into the station below ground. There is a large freighter sitting on the tarmac close to the platform. Nothing appears to be damaged but there is no apparent activity, which strikes you as unusual for a commercial enterprise even if most of its operations take place underground. Red and green landing safety lights on either edge of the tarmac blink regularly, indicating no lack of power or maintenance at the starport. If I can scan the location from our postion I do so to see what I can determine.
As there is no response, Eloise begins your descent to the starport. As your damaged craft makes its approach you see a wide expanse of craggy volcanic rock jutting up irregularly to immense heights--the smallest being perhaps the kilometers--all around the tarmac, and a heavy wind that sprays tiny particles of rock against the hull of the Stella Maris. The atmosphere is dominated by dense pale yellow clouds of sulfur. There are no visible bodies of water and no visible foliage on the surface: you imagine any significant activity and resources must be located below ground. As you are near to touchdown, you the starport appears abandoned.Nils simply stands back from the airlock and takes a look outside via the ship's windows to get an impression of what kind of planet Włocławek Six is.
"One jump," replies the old man. "But we need to obtain sufficient fuel to get there and back. We should be able to--" his voice cracks and he breaks off into a nasty hacking off before finishing the thought "--get it here.""Bleak" Nils begins "A mining world?"
He turns to Krovopuskov.
"Assuming we get repaired, what jump distance are we from your alien ship?"
"Correction: everyone is alive but Trips. And I need to remove biotraces from my clothes", Volodimir announces on the internal speaker system.Trips stomach churns as they spin. Turning several shades of green he looks Volodimir straight in the eye before emptying the contents of his stomach all over V's chest, pants and shoes.
"Sorry" he says sheepishly.
"They should have a repair crew here," Krovopuskov replies. "And spare parts."'You go ahead and I will stay here with the old man, and start on repairs,' Eloise proposes, 'in case anything goes wrong.'
Trip cleans himself off and begins putting on a vacc suit.
"Control tower I assume?" He asks on the comms.
Nils likewise gets himself ready into a vacc suit and nods to Trip's control tower idea.
Anyone who wants to clean himself/herself can be assumed to have done so.Volodimir shall finish cleaning himself up before putting a vacc-suit on.
