Using neural networks (A.I.) to restore old pdfs images

As you guys may already know, people have been using neural networks to restore old movies and pictures.
But it only hit me today, that I could use it to restore some handouts of old pdfs from AD&D that I have. Some of the image quality in some of these pdfs are at most abyssal and quite offensive to my eyes. There are websites that can do this for you for free. I made the test with https://deep-image.ai/, it's not the only one, but I didn't spend much time searching. And the results are quite pleasing. B&W images have better results, for obvious reason only 2 bytes instead of the color scale.

tldr: Make your old pixelated images from pdf great and 4x times bigger.

I scanned my copy of the original Thieves Guild RPG. It's a horrible almost dot matrix printed product. This just might be the solution to cleaning up the scan.

Interesting. Troubling that the program didn’t know what to do with obvious text and clean it up with fonts.
