World of Darkness coming to TV?

It's pretty obvious most of my replies have been his quotes.

And it’s pretty obvious you remain unaware that you made a false quote with my name on it. I am simply requesting that you don’t do that.

And I agree to that request.

Calm down

The mere act of quoting from Seinfeld voids any ability of trying to claim any form of aesthetic or stylistic superiority, ever.
I had a boss that claimed Seinfeld was the greatest TV show ever made. With out blinking an eye I replied, "False! The greatest TV show ever made was Airwolf."He didn't quite know how to react to that. This is also the same man that dyed his mustache at one point. We called him Magnum for about a week.

Agree your taste of music is totally ill suited towards any appreciation of WoD games. And it sucks.

I don't get why you're so worked up about me appreciating WoD "the wrong way"

Relax. It's all in good fun at this point

Punk sucks.

Also, I don't get why you're so worked up about me appreciating WoD "the wrong way"
You aren’t appreciating the WoD, period. You are deluded to think that you are, with your ranting and raving against it. The actual term ‘gothic-punk’ was coined in VTM to describe it’s own World of Darkness. Unfortunately for you, and fortunately for the rest of us, you don’t get to rewrite that. Its like trying to reclaim BESM from its anime style because it 'sucks'.

And, if you going to exclaim ‘Relax’ as well ‘Calm down’, have a look at your own posting history on the matter first.

Just checked she was in Angel.
Though not sure I am bothered about WoD on tv. What We Do In Shadows is absolutely brilliant, and utterly hilarious.

When you have Hollywood actors playing as vampire versions of themselves...what could get better than that.

Taika Waitita reprises his role of Viago, Tilda Swinton is called Tilda, Danny Trejo is Danny, Wesley Snipes is called Wesley. It is just funny AF and on BBC Iplayer.

Isn't that also Paul Reubens in there? I wonder if he's playing it the way he played a vampire in the Buffy movie

I am appreciating it and you don't get to rewrite that either.

Also, you can't tell me what I can and can't do. You're not the ST.

I do get to rewrite it and I will because it's my game. Rule Zero, my friend.

If you don't like it, too bad. I'm Rule Zero'ing WoD and that's that. I will appreciate WoD in my own way, even if it's "the wrong way"

End of discussion, I've made my point and I'm going to focus on Requiem for Roanoke more

I don’t have to rewrite it - it is what it is. Your own interpretation of it is erroneous - and that isn’t a point of opinion or whether you want to ‘Rule 0’ anything. It is the fact that the WoD literally coined the term ‘gothic-punk’, that you reject, to describe itself. If you don’t like ‘gothic-punk', you literally don’t like the WoD.

You can play it as you like, although it seems that isn’t taking off any time soon anyway. I’d hazard it’s because your own version of the game sucks more than sucking a sucky sweet, on a sucky street on a sucky afternoon.

This man speaks truth. Forever Knight was orders of magnitude better than K;tE, and damn if the final season wasn't perfect.
Yep, I loved that show.
The only TV vampire show I've liked except for Dark Shadows.

Hard disagree with your purism but whatever

But if my game does take off (I already got two players, just need one or two more) then I will gladly take that victory and say "I told you so!"

Until then, let's shelve this argument

It isn’t purism that you are disagreeing with: it’s facts.

The fact is that ‘Gothic-Punk’ was the term coined in Vampire: The Masquerade to describe the ‘World of Darkness’. They even Trade-Marked the term in the 1st edition. If you are rejecting Gothic-Punk, then you are rejecting the underlying perspective that makes the World of Darkness (also trademarked) what it is.

It makes no difference to the argument whether your game takes off - you won’t be in any position to say ‘I told you so’ as it won’t change the facts. It makes no difference to me, personally, whether your game takes off, either. I won’t be playing in it.

SUCCUBUS CLUB is an excellent album because they didn't commission original material, they just paid preexisting Gothic Punk club bands for their songs. So the songs have shit to do with Clans but lots to do with vampires.

And yes, I love the Expanse and Witcher so think this will be awesome.

FIFTH EDITION IS TRIUMPHANT ON ALL FRONTS.

That's a lot of all caps Tony, moving on...

The final season was, uh, something of all. One of the worst endings of television and literally written out of spite by the writers.

Then again, I disapprove of any season without Janette.

Well, Fire on the Amazon is a movie starring early Sandra Bullock that's, well, a little blue, and that she tried to block the release of (and that despite the heavy use of body doubles).

So...you're asking me for softcore recommendations?

The internet just making porn too accessible for you?

Yes it is, well noticed.
Look at the guest cast, it is phenomenal.

Benedict Wong, Mark Hamill, Dave Bautista; and this is for a tv series.

Yep, I loved that show.

You really should watch What we Do in Shadows - it may be your cup of tea, or it might not.

The only problem with a Vampire: The Masquerade show is there's no way it will be better than What We Do in the Shadows.

I am inclined to agree. Jayvan (Nandor) was saying on a YT video that he sometimes does 3 hr improvs on set, and then forgets the show is only 25 mins or so long. If only I could have that much fun at work.

Hell, the original movie has apparently like 300 hours of improvised jokes. I kind of want to see it all.

Like there's apparently a scene where Deacon admits he was supposed to make Hitler immortal but ended up inviting Viago and they ate him as well as Eva Braun as well as their dogs.

"But it's okay, we made it look like a suicide."

Actors have too much fun sometimes clearly

I don't want to dig up old drama, but you just inadvertently proved my point that the whole "Gothic-Punk" thing was nothing more than a cheap marketing gimmick in the early years of the game as opposed to any genuine soul of the game during the game's first and second editions.

How you interpret and react to that is on you, but whatever
