Impact Bound for Glory is going to be in Chicagoland this year, and near my birthday! Tix aren't on sale yet, but me & a few friends are bound to go!

I started watching the second Road to Sakura Genesis NJPW show. I couldn't find the first one, but I've got the other 2 and Sakura Genesis to watch (as well as the Capital Collision shows). Also plan on checking out the last Stardom show, which I keep reading was a banger from start to finish. I wish NJPW would come to Portland sometime soon.

I know I'm probably the last open fan of the organization these days, but is anyone else also intending to go to the NWA Crockett Cup in Winston-Salem? Would love to meet any fellow pub denizens before the shows.

I finished the 3rd Road to Sakura Genesis show. Pretty good stuff. Plan on watching Sakura Genesis (or at least start it) when I get home from work today

I wonder how much it cost Tony Khan to license this song for the new show.

Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt both passed within a day of each other. Not a good week for us fans. Both very talented individuals, and Bray went way too soon

Yeah. Bray’s death is really hard. Both his age and the fact that he was my second favorite wrestler (after Sting, who seems sure he’s retiring this year).

I don't know how much fans these days really get what an insanely massive deal Terry Funk was. WWE's tribute was nice, but let's face it, he was barely ever there. The career he had before, around, and after WWE was incredible. A true legend, not just an old guy they stuck that label on.

As for Bray... Shit. Two members of the Wyatt Family gone way too young. I won't pretend I didn't hate half the shit he was involved with, but he certainly was a creative guy. Sorta feel like he should've been directing horror movies rather than wrestling. Still, it's a shame he's legacy is going to be a lot of 'what could have been'.

Raise a [whatever you drink] for both of 'em. And the others we've lost this year.

Funk wrestled two legit Hall of Fame worthy careers separated, somewhat ironically, by his midcard tag stint in WWF. You're right. Absolute legend.

Bray...just still devastates me. Of the modern generation, he was the only one left that could generate a genuine emotional response from me. The last great wrestling character.

I legitimately don't know if I'll watch wrestling again once Sting packs it in.

On a more positive note, I finally started watching Ring of Honor's Supercard of Honor show. This is the first ppv I've seen since Khan took over the company. So far, I've been enjoying it. Some pretty solid matches from the pre-show through the regular card.

I used to be a big RoH fan; I'd go to their shows in NYC a lot, and they used to hold their Final Battle shows there. I still remember the last time Danielson and McGuinness faced off before moving on to WWE & TNA. This current version of the company continues the excellence they always had, though some matches do tend to turn into spot fests.

CM Punk was released from his AEW contract today, stemming from the incident with Jack Perry in London at All In last weekend. Announcement was posted on the AEW Twitter account

Don't forget Brawl Out last year, insisting staff be banned from Collision, going for TK... I love Punk, but he seems like a textbook toxic co-worker. I'll miss him, but I think AEW is going to be better for this in the long term.

On a lighter note...
