Hey Hows things going?? hope all is well. Just wondering if you are on discord at all? I would like to chat more about what you like or dislike about my game rules. I know its the holiday season and everyone is really busy.

I'm doing well. I don't really go on Discord much, but I'm still intending to give your rule set another thorough read-through. It's a bit hectic this time of year and I'm finding it hard to set aside any uninterrupted time to do anything, aside from work.

thats good to hear!! hey no problem. don't worry about it haha. Im in the middle of setting up my Twitch and Youtube channels. just figured I would ask, you are pretty much the only person so far who has asked questions about the game and said anything positive.

Any Pub-goers familiar with San Antonio, Texas? I won’t have a lot of time to tour the place so if anyone could point me to (1) must-see sights and attractions, (2) a good liquor store and (3) a good used book store, I’d appreciate it.
That was a Nietzsche quote. Alas, I can't save the picture, so you get a pointless status instead:thumbsup:.
Post-apocalyptic scenario seed in this post:
Feeling almost silly enough to run some ForeSight demo material for Pub members who have expressed an interest.

Now actually prepping material for some ForeSight demo adventures to run over Discord.
The boast of heraldry, the pomp of pow'r
And all that beauty, all that wealth e'er gave
Awaits alike th' inevitable hour:
The paths of glory lead but to the grave.

Currently guzzling some Jameson and listening to David Allan Coe on a Tuesday night.

I'm not entirely sure why as of yet....
That's it, I've decided on where my next campaign is going to be set: A garden surrounded by a jungle.
I'm not going to tell you why because it might be kinda political. Suffice it to say, I just liked the imagery:thumbsup:!
Now if I only knew when I'm going to run anything, too!
I've been thinking about the isekai genre lately. What does it tell us that a) it's getting more popular lately and b) every time I hear about it, it almost invariably mentions the protagonist going after sexy alien chicks:shade:?
"Canada's D&D cuts buyout offer for Australia's Link under regulator probe". A misleading title if you're an RPG player!
The worldly hope men set their hearts upon
Turns ashes, or it prospers and anon
Like snow upon the desert's dusty face,
Lighting a little hour or two, is gone.

Nod. Get treat.
The moving finger writes, and having writ,
Moves on. Nor all thy pity and wit
Can lure it back to cancel half a line,
Nor all thy tears wash out a word of it.

Nod. Get treat.
The boast of heraldry, the pomp of pow’r,
And all that beauty, all that wealth e’er gave
Awaits alike the inevitable hour —
The paths of glory lead but to the grave.

Need to find someone who knows Latin to help me translate the name of an organization into that language for something

What's the organization?

You might be able to figure it out using internet tools. Google translate would let you find the right words, and then with wiktionary you could adjust the grammar.

Hey there! I got some help over on Discord from different people, and was given a few options. The name of the group is the Order of the Holy Spear, and I went with a more archaic version of the name, Ordo Sanctae Hastae.

"That's Dad when he's happy!" - First Daughter.
...do I really look like that:shock:?
I've been thinking about gamebooks (the Fighting Fantasy/Bloodsword/Way of the Tiger kind), lately. And about superheroes. Now what can I do if I combine both? Hmm...

Sent. More like 10 times longer than the space allowed for comments here...sorry, guys.
The gist of it: never seen those titles Black Leaf Black Leaf mentions, alas. I've read two supers gamebooks, one of which is my idea of Doing It Wrong.

Also, I just managed to translate a shortstory-game I'd written a few years ago. Alas, it's not superheroes-related...
Might post it here, pending moderator permission:shade:. If not, I'd post it somewhere else and/or send it via PMs on demand.
I want to get back into gaming but between the work necessary to plan a game, and reports of gaming group drama don’t exactly put me in the mood.

Have you seen the game me and L Lundgren have been planning (roughly AU early 20th century, focus on the "being there", no punches pulled) to play over Discord? Not sure if the scheduling would work for you, but it's subject to negotiations anyway.
Also, he's running, so don't worry, I won't subject you to my Refereeing for the time being:shade:.
I took a picture of myself. Here's AsenRG AsenRG trying to give a funny look.

So now I'm curious what you imagined me looking like... Rasputin:tongue:?

That or Fedor Emilianenko, which is my brain’s shorthand for Slavic grappler.

Slavic-looking grappler-fencer in my case, but that's a great compliment either way:thumbsup:! I do strive to incorporate some things from Fedor's style, indeed. Not sure how successful I've been, though.

Also, I used to have (almost waist-)long hair before deciding to give grappling a go, which is why I suggested Rasputin:shade:.

“I discovered my B12 deficiency accidentally while experimenting with energy drinks, because I was fed up with being fatigued, sleepy and showing symptoms consistent with Dementia all the time. I bought a variety of energy drinks and the only one that I exhibited a positive response to was the one with a huge dose of vitamin B12.”

I just found that a new DCC corebook is $25, and Noble Knight are selling a Near-Mint book for $28. Is something wrong there or what:grin:?

Maybe it's the hardback? That lists at $35.

OTOH I've seen wacky prices for the Chaosium RQII hardback reprint on Amazon, when you can still buy it new from the publisher.
