The system is based on a 1-4 d20 die pool that you acquire as you level. Each die can be used to cast a separate spell, aid in your magical or physical defense, or they can be pooled to improve the chances of casting more powerful spells.
The system works off a base spell with a base DC which increases as additional spell elements are added, such as range, area of effect, duration, and the like.
