    Genre may be part of the problem. It's not traditional post-apocalyptic, not traditional fantasy, so won't appeal to purists of either genre. I like it, and post-apoc is very much not my thing. Possibly the implicit motivations are a problem too, but there's no reason the PCs have to be Fallen...
