What the heck. I've been tinkering with these for a couple of years. Here they are, just in case you find it interesting to look at small, rules-lite games. I'd say that my style is not old-school, but it is old-fashioned. What I want are rules that are written with the paradigm of old school 0e type games, but with better, more sensible (or at least consistent) rules. Or at least the paradigm of rules-lite, GM rulings, wild and woolly weirdness, but a system that makes sense and requires very little effort. Games for gamers who don't necessarily like rules, maybe. Anyway, a fantasy game and a space opera game, both utilizing the same engine (m20) kitbashed by me into my Holy Grail of "this is the only game(s) I wanna run or play anymore".

Actually, hold the phone. Three games, although the two fantasy games are very similar. One of them is specifically a "D&D-like fantasy heartbreaker" while the other is customized somewhat to a specific homebrew setting.

All three are very similar to each other, and quite short, however.

Dark•Heritage, my setting specific version of the rules.

The Space Opera game; rather than a document, it's a Google Site.

Well, I don't necessarily expect anyone to like them unless they share my probably quite narrow system demands and expectations and wants. But if so... well, there they are. And if not, well they're out there on the internet already anyway.

Oh, I like them. I see you've got the same attributes as my system (slightly renamed), which is already a +1 in my book. I think these are really good for entry-level players who want to get just a bit more out of their experience than the 'true' rules-lite options, but are daunted by a magnitude of options.
