Gabriel Dropout is a dark exploration of corruption born of existential doubt and failure, cleverly disguised as a cute, comedy anime.

Also, Raphiel is best girl. I feel like she and I are kindred spirits. :evil:

I really liked Shiki, but it does the seriousness of its story no favors with its goofy character designs. It is regular fodder for lists of "most absurd anime hairdos", and that's a very competitive category!

It looks like something inane rather than the slow-burn-then-raging-inferno horror that it is. Best vampire story I've encountered in a long time.
 
I don't think I've laughed so hard at anything in a long time as I did at the expression on the kid's faces at the end of this...

I don't. In college one of my roommates watched either those guys or Anne of the green gables every damn night printing on the fucks slowest dot matrix printer you've ever seen. I associate them with pain.
