So, last year I threw together a little rule set based on an old online freebie by Canis Publishing, but altered heavily from that game (different character definition, different task resolution, rules for damage, GM advice, etc). They've been play tested briefly in Harn last Autumn, before we switched over to using Open Basic as my players wanted a more math-rich system (an example of that particular genre/setting hack is included below).
I'd like to get some feedback from you folks, if possible.
I'm thinking about firming up the rules for damage, as they're very handwave-y right now. I like that they currently give a competent GM the ability to adjudicate damage as makes sense for a given situation in-game, but that's a double-edged sword (an incompetent or malicious GM can easily abuse the current rules for damage).
