These days I'd rather read these off-the-wall Star Trek comics (written and drawn by creators who apparently had never seen the show and worked from photos) than anything the current IP owners dump on us. So many groovy ideas. I'd be lying if I didn't admit I've swiped some. Just the covers send the mind reeling!

I got the 1977 boxed set (and I think a supplement or two tucked inside it) circa 1983 (maybe?) because my older sister's current loser (weren't they all) boyfriend didn't want it anymore. Just that cover copy intrigued me endlessly, and then I'd never seen an RPG that small before in a little box with black booklets and no art (except that one portrait). It was too enigmatic and mysterious not to suck me in forever.

I guess I'm cheating since I made these myself but just imagine what a blast a campaign based on these sources could be. Most of the colors were generated at random but a couple I tried to make match their settings (Mars = red, Pellucidar = green.
