Privateers and Gentlemen, maybe?
Huzzah!Privateers and Gentlemen, maybe?
Schlock Mercenary?Well with the "clue" I'd have to guess one of the games based on a "rubber forehead aliens all speak english" TV show known for main characters badly over acting.
Here's what should be an easy one...View attachment 47865
....Legally? Nowhere afaik. Because it turns out they didn't really have the rights to the MEGS system.Where can I get a pdf of Blood of Heroes?
Good get!Immortal: Invisible War, or whatever it was called. Decent reading, lots of kinda jank photoshop sfx art as I recall. Never could get anyone to play it but the lists of curse-like effects have come in useful in several other games.
And yeah, mine was Paranoia. Book says anniversary edition on it and I didn't bother back checking for a version number. Plays well if you got the clearance for it.
Not the OG. This is the comic from the reboot version.Dragon Warriors, the OG one?

[If I have misunderstood the intent I apologise]That's a stellar example of inelegant 80's game design in action. PM me the answer please!
No need to apologize, I will clarify.[If I have misunderstood the intent I apologise]
Are you saying that DW is itself inelegant (and 80's) or that that particular combat example is inelegant (and 80's)?
I concede that it was 80's but query the significance.
If the former:
I rather like DW as a setting and as a system although I accept it is flawed.
I find the fixed damage and armour bypass system and interesting variation, also splitting defence against multiple attackers seems to me to have some merit.
If the latter (and I accept this is purely subjective) I had the original corgi book and I rather liked it as an illustrated example of combat, I think seeing them in a partial graphical context helped me understand the combat rules.
Oh good call on the map. I want to switch my answer. The space ship's from Spacemaster 2nd edition.
I'm gonna guess the spy map is from Hero's Espionage or Danger International.
Ah. They aparently follow the same design and layout as Pallasium then. I'm not familiar with that specific book however. (The Battlelords book I had seemed to not have had that design, but its a vague memory so.)Yep! It's one of the adventure modules for that RPG!
Bingo!!!!Must be Coriolis...
