My father was 6'7", which doesn't sound like a lot now, but was really something for the cohort born in 1914. He had to duck to get through standard doorways. Because of his height, the examining table in his consulting room was too low, so he sawed a couple of lengths of 6"×6", painted them black, and used them under the legs of his examining table to raise things up where he didn't have to stoop so. That left an unsightly blank space under the examining table, directly opposite the patient's chair beside his desk.Just assembling that in front of people would net an intimidation check.
That's how you do intimidation.
I have seen this image before. I still wonder at its validity. Moose/Elk do not respond well entanglements... let alone that much weight.
Obviously, nobody ought to say such a preposterous thing!
I recognize everyone except the dude with the pointy-eared cloak at the end...
Robin Hood?I recognize everyone except the dude with the pointy-eared cloak at the end...
With pointed ears on his cloak?Robin Hood?
Must be Medieval Batman. With pointed ears on his cloak?
Fashion is HARD!With pointed ears on his cloak?
Now I can't stop thinking about somebody (Robert Guiscard seems to fit, but there are a lot of possibilities) whispering "I'm Medieval Batman"...Must be Medieval Batman.
The fact that he has a cloak period is a new interpretation. And I think it's what Elmore himself has mentioned, but I'm not sure on that one. With pointed ears on his cloak?
I need a larger version to look at, I'm not sure of all the details. Who did this?
Boris Vallejo - it's the cover of a book called Through the Reality Warp, which also has potential as a campaign base (but sadly the book itself sounds not that great).I need a larger version to look at, I'm not sure of all the details. Who did this?
What kind of games do you run, TristramEvans, and are all your players accounted for?
The bloke with the sword and crown is not King Arthur — he's wearing gules, a lion rampant or queue fourchée. If Arthur were wearing arms (an anachronism) they would be azure three crowns or, which were his attributed arms in the age of heraldry. The interpretation I saw is that the guy next to King Arthur is supposed to be Robin Hood.
Isn't Robin Hood sometimes connected to Richard the Lion-Hearted?The bloke with the sword and crown is not King Arthur — he's wearing gules, a lion rampant or queue fourchée. Yes. Richard's arms were gules two lions passant gardant or. Or maybe three lions. But not rampant and not with forked tails.Isn't Robin Hood sometimes connected to Richard the Lion-Hearted?
Basically all the time. Prince John is an evil despot while Brave Richard is away on crusade.Isn't Robin Hood sometimes connected to Richard the Lion-Hearted?
